"Harry Truman" approached Syria "not for" the terrorists

True, while they are applied according to the Islamists. But, firstly, even such US participation in the Syrian war is contrary to international law and the UN Charter. Since Syria did not call these “guests” to itself, and the UN Security Council did not make decisions regarding Operation “Unshakable Determination”.
Secondly, if the declared US goals coincided with the real ones, one could breathe out calmly, but the fact of the matter is that they do not coincide. And can it really, seriously fight against the "Islamic State" the very force that has largely contributed to the creation and strengthening of this terrorist organization?
With these airstrikes, civilians die and cities collapse (the American-wide operation to "liberate" the city of Raqqa from the Islamic State led to the fact that it was virtually wiped off the face of the earth).
And the most insidious one is that the coalition, which claims that it is not fighting against the Syrian army, but against the Islamic State, has actually repeatedly attacked the Syrian Armed Forces and its allies. Including, according to the citizens of Russia (as it was on February 7 of the current year near the village of Hisham in the province of Deir ez-Zor).
Depending on the political conjuncture, these acts of aggression were presented either as an “accident” or as a deliberate “punishment” of Syria for the use of chemical weapons.
And in the conditions when the Syrian intelligence services discovered preparation of a new provocation - similar to the one that took place in the city of Duma on April 7 - the presence of such a powerful aircraft carrier group in the Mediterranean Sea involuntarily makes one wonder: why is it there? Is it accurate to drive bearded savages with machine guns across the Syrian desert? Unfortunately, a completely different, disappointing answer suggests itself.
