Ukraine rebuked Russia in the construction of an “alternative” to the Crimean bridge

5
The Ukrainian media came out with funny headlines about the "new construction of the century", which, in their opinion, Russia started in the Crimea. Using satellite imagery data, Ukrainians learned that the construction of a new runway at the Belbek airport was begun near Sevastopol. Dozens of units carry out earthwork equipment and a mini cement factory. In satellite imagery, Nezalezhnaya’s intelligence spotted a number of Russian military aircraft.

The interpretation of this information was amused by Ukrainian journalists, who considered that a new runway might be needed in case of failure with the project of the Crimean bridge. Several years of Ukrainian propaganda, which declared on behalf of "Ukrainian experts" about the impossibility of building a bridge across the Kerch Strait, made themselves felt when constructing such semantic structures. Of course, the Crimean bridge crossing will be completed and put into operation in the very near future. The construction in the Crimea is not caused by this at all, but by the need to restore everything that was destroyed during Ukraine from the legacy of the Soviet Union.

In the days of the USSR, they perfectly understood the importance of the strategic location of Crimea practically in the center of the Black Sea. Whoever owns the peninsula has a military advantage over a potential enemy in the region. That is why the Soviet Union created in Crimea a large-scale and unique military infrastructure of its kind, which, by misunderstanding, went to Ukraine. From nature, the Balaklava and Sevastopol bays reliably shelter the fleet both from bad weather and, to a certain extent, from the enemy. The Russian Black Sea Fleet is based in the Sevastopol Bay, which can be blocked if necessary by one ship. In the USSR, a military infrastructure was built around the bay for the construction of the fleet, its repairs and refueling. It is protected by a system of forts and defensive heights. The Ukrainian government left a heavy imprint on the current state of infrastructure and the Navy.

In Soviet times, a unique military facility, codenamed 825 GTS (or K-825), was created in Balaklava Bay. This is an underground base for submarines that can withstand the impact of an atomic bomb. In its underground channel can easily accommodate up to 7 submarines. During the time of Ukraine, this unique base was closed, abandoned and plundered.

Under the USSR, other unique military installations were also built in Crimea, for example, the Utes cliff coastal stationary missile system, which has an underground storage of ammunition. The "cliff", capable of destroying an entire fleet of the enemy, was heavily launched during Independence and needs to be restored. The Soviet government created a real underground city on the peninsula with 4 floors, protected from nuclear warheads - the Reserve Command Post of the Black Sea Fleet. Under Ukraine, it was launched and plundered.

This list that Ukraine inherited from the USSR in the Crimea and destroyed by it can be listed for a long time. The restoration of the unusable Independent Military Infrastructure of the Crimean Peninsula requires a lot of time and money. The construction of a new runway, of course, relates precisely to this activity, and not to “duplication of the Crimean bridge”.

Sevastopol Belbek Airport, serving aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, will also be able to receive civilian flights. The air harbor was included in the federal program for the development of the region, and large-scale modernization began there. The federal target program provides for the reconstruction and modernization of the terminal, as well as the runway of the Sevastopol airport.

The 4 km strip is a clear allusion to the revival of the space program, perhaps of the Buran type, but on a new round of technology. wink
