Arms race for Russia began with dangerous emergency

3
On August 2, he finally ordered the INF Treaty to live long. In fact, Russia is forced to enter a new arms race with the United States. But, as often happens, the first pancake came out lumpy. Over the summer of 2019, there were already two serious PEs with human casualties, presumably related to the latest “miracle weapons”.

On July 1, a terrible tragedy occurred in the Barents Sea. During tests on board the mysterious AC-12 submarine, 14 Russian submarine officers were killed. All of them were specialists of the highest class, among them there were two Heroes of Russia. The famous military expert, Viktor Baranets, speculated that the emergency could have occurred during the testing of the promising Poseidon underwater drone, which could become an asymmetric response to the American threat, which we told earlier.

On August 6, another incident occurred with human casualties. An explosion occurred at a marine missile range in the Arkhangelsk Region, which, according to Rosatom, claimed the lives of five, there are other victims. In Severodvinsk and its environs, according to a number of media reports, a slight increase in the radiation background was noted for some time. For civilian courts closed the waters of the Gulf of Dvina. What exactly could happen there?

Representatives of the military department said:

At the test site of the Russian Ministry of Defense in the Arkhangelsk region, when testing a liquid propulsion system, an explosion occurred and the product ignited. There were no emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere, the radiation background is normal.

American military expert Jeffrey Lewis suggested that the tragedy occurred during the tests of the so-called "Putin rocket." He justifies his guess by the presence of the Serebryanka special court, a tanker near the landfill, designed to collect liquid radioactive waste:

The presence of the ship may be related to the test of a cruise missile with a nuclear installation.

With the official version of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on liquid engines, this does not fit. However, domestic experts give other, quite plausible, explanations about the causes of the explosion and the subsequent closure of the bay. For example, Victor Litovkin admits that a new liquid-propellant rocket engine was actually tested, but something went wrong due to the “human factor”. As a result, destruction, explosion and fire occurred, and several tons of extremely toxic heptyl could appear in sea water.

It is also suggested that an emergency could occur during tests of the Zircon hypersonic missile. Military expert Yuri Knutov admits that technological difficulties were caused by some haste in the development:

Maybe, not in six months, it would be necessary, let us say, to set a deadline, but then when it is ready. Maybe it will take another year.

If this is so, then natural unpleasant questions arise about the level of competence of the available personnel, the "dampness" of technology and the advisability of urging arms developers to be timed.

Sorry for the people who died. The rest is not a pity. When a country is driven by effective managers, the result is logical.

The article is a guess !! And in the end:

If this is so, then natural unpleasant questions arise about the level of competence of the available personnel, the "dampness" of technology and the advisability of urging arms developers to be timed.

The author suggests, and therefore he had logical questions)))
