The first flight with the crew of the American "Dragon" again failed

The promising spacecraft Crew Dragon from the American corporation SpaceX should make its first flight with a crew on board at the end of this year. Earlier, sources from the US space industry said that the manned mission of the "Dragon" is scheduled for November 15.

However, the day before, the agency RIA News, citing a reliable source, reported a breakdown of the scheduled time frame. According to the latest data, the device will be sent to the ISS on December 17. The crew will include NASA astronauts Robert Benken and Douglas Hurley.

Crew Dragon (Dragon-2) was developed by SpaceX by order of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The device is an improved version of the reusable Dragon ship and should become the basis of the program for the delivery of American astronauts to the ISS (currently the United States does not have its own transport system and is forced to buy seats on the Russian Soyuz).

Recall that its first unmanned flight and docking with the International Space Station Crew Dragon successfully carried out in March this year. However, the manned mission was threatened after "anomalies"(Read the explosion) that occurred during the static tests of emergency ship engines.

According to the developers, the problem arose due to malfunctioning valves in the boost system. Later, the company said that they had already found a way to eliminate the "defect", which completely eliminates the possibility of a similar situation in the future.

I bet on the cognac box that the Americans this year will not fly into space on their rockets.
