In January 2021, the first race should be held as part of the Extreme E electric off-road vehicle championship. Spectacular competitions will be held in the Himalayas, the Arctic, the Sahara desert and even the Amazon jungle. And on the eve, the British company Spark Racing Technology introduced to the public its car, which will take part in the race.

The brainchild of English engineers called Odyssey21 received a high-strength tubular frame, a roll cage and tires from Continental (winter and summer kit). If you believe the statements of representatives of Spark Racing Technology, then their "all-passable" car will easily cope with any obstacles, whether it be dirt, sand, snow, water, ice or stones.

The mass of the Odyssey is 1650 kg, the width is 2,3 meters, and the declared electric motor power is 558 hp. (about 410 kW). It is worth noting that the SUV can reach a speed of 100 km / h in 4,5 seconds, even when driving on slopes with a steepness of up to 130 degrees.

According to the developer, testing the electric "monster" should begin in September this year, and the first 12 cars will be delivered to teams in the spring of 2020.

Recall that Extreme E is an analogue of Formula E and aims to support environmental protection. In this regard, the organizers of the championship launched a symbolic hashtag in the social networks: #racefortheplanet.
