In a popular resort on the Black Sea coast of the Krasnodar Territory, a tragedy occurred. In the area of ​​the Blue Bay (Dzhubga) a catamaran turned over, on which there were vacationers.





The Atoll catamaran rolled over 100 meters from the shore. He was clearly overloaded - 43 people were on the catamaran, according to the regional department of the Ministry of Emergencies. After the catamaran turned over, people were in the water.

In the disaster area were other watercraft, which took on board the people who suffered as a result of the catamaran crash. 37 people were brought ashore. Then six more passengers of the catamaran were picked up.

Two people aboard the Atoll were in such a serious condition that they were taken to the intensive care unit of a local hospital. However, they died on the way to the hospital. According to preliminary information, the dead are women.

The owner of the catamaran was detained by police. He will have to answer the question of how it turned out that such a large number of passengers appeared on the catamaran.

Currently, law enforcement officers carry out investigative actions in order to establish more detailed circumstances of the tragedy. Investigators of the accident will be investigated by investigators from the Southern Investigative Directorate for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
