American flag burned in front of the White House for US Independence Day

US President Donald Trump recently рассказалhow spaceships will plow the expanses of our solar system and promised to install an American star - striped flag on Mars. He made this promising statement at the Lincoln Memorial (Washington) in honor of US Independence Day at the Salute to America event. However, literally an hour before Trump's speech, representatives of the US Revolutionary Communist Party gathered near the White House and defiantly burned the American flag.

It should be noted that the American media did not bypass the speech of the American Communists - the opposition. Local law enforcement agencies (police and special services) promptly intervened. They put out the fire, without shooting anyone, which in itself speaks of a tolerant approach, despite the defiant behavior of citizens.

However, after that, a group led by a social activist (political activist) Gregory “Joey” Johnson did not disperse, but clashed with Trump supporters.

"America has never been great"

- Trump opponents chanted.

Trump 2020

- Trump supporters shouted no less actively.

Gradually verbal skirmish between people with opposite political glances, began to move "to the person", pushing and petty brawls.

Law enforcement authorities responded instantly. As a result, two particularly violent activists were detained and sent to the police station.

It should be recalled that on the eve of Johnson, a member of the Revolution Club, made a statement at an organized press conference:

"Tomorrow, July XNUMXth, I'm going to burn the American flag right here ... in front of the White House. I'm going to talk to the people of the world, letting them know that there are people inside the borders of this country who are standing with the people of the world."

By the way, Johnson is unlikely to be responsible for the abuse of the flag even administratively. According to US law, according to a 1989 decision of the Supreme Court, the first amendment of the US constitution guaranteeing freedom of speech has more weight than the Law on the Protection of the Flag adopted by Congress in 1968 (mass demonstrations against the Vietnam War then took place). Moreover, rolls of toilet paper are even sold in the USA, where the flag of the USA is carefully painted on every soft and pleasant to the touch square.
