Haftar's army struck at the center of migrants in Tripoli
The Libyan National Army, Marshal Khalifa Haftar, is accused of launching an air strike at the migrant detention center in Tripoli. The blow was inflicted during the assault on the city, which the people of Haftar have been leading for several months.
We already wrote that LNA Haftara launched an airstrike at Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli. Allegedly, the target of the strike was a Turkish drone. Representatives of the LNA accused Turkey of the fact that this drone was to be used to attack the positions of Haftar supporters.
But, in addition to the airport, Haftarovts also hit other targets. So, according to representatives of the Libyan government, a blow was dealt to the detention center for migrants. As a result of the strike, about 40 people died - these are immigrants from various African countries. In total, 80 people were injured during a strike in the center.
Recall that Libya is on a migration route from tropical Africa to Europe. It is from the coast of Libya that boats overflowing with migrants leave for the shores of Italy. Many of them then crash on the high seas, illegal migrants drown, and only a few manage to save the crews of passing ships or coast guard personnel.
To control illegal migration in Tripoli, a center for the placement of migrants was created. True, as we see, the number of immigrants from African states contained in it is minimal in comparison with the scale of migration from the countries of Tropical and North Africa to Western Europe.
