Zelensky and Groisman managed to send Klimkin on "political leave"

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin announced that he was leaving for "political vacation ”, as it supposedly cannot work at half strength.

In fact, dissatisfaction with Klimkin’s behavior on the part of the new president Vladimir Zelensky and retaining the prime minister’s chair of Vladimir Groisman has long been known.

Zelensky raised the question of Klimkin’s dismissal from the post of head of the diplomatic department, but the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine did not vote for the resignation of the minister. However, the tension remained.

"The last straw" was the statement of Klimkin regarding the arrested Ukrainian sailors in custody in Russia. After that, Groisman rebuked the Minister of Foreign Affairs that making such statements without the permission of the President and the Prime Minister is unacceptable.

It was Vladimir Groysman who proposed Zelensky to send Foreign Minister Klimkin on vacation, noting that if the president makes such a decision, then he, Groisman, would approve him. And now, it seems, Klimkin could not stand the pressure from the president and head of government.

I decided to go on vacation. I believe that this will be honest and correct. But not just on vacation, but on political leave. Because I can’t work at half strength. Right now it's time to build a political team,

- said Pavel Klimkin on his page on the social network Facebook.
