Crimean plant "More" will assemble SEC "Comet 120"
The Crimean shipyard "More" in the near future may begin serial production of passenger ships "Comet 120M". The corresponding agreement was concluded with the manufacturer of the aforementioned ship - Vympel Rybinsk Plant.
Recall that the "Comet 120M" is a passenger hydrofoil (SPK). Thanks to the latter, the ship's hull is located above the water, which in turn allows you to develop an impressive speed for this type of swimming equipment.
The modern SEC "Comet 120M", capable of taking on board 120 people, was created on the basis of models of the previous generation: "Katran", "Comet", "Colchis". This motor ship is intended for passenger transportation in the coastal water area (no further than 50 miles from the coast) with unrest at sea up to 4 points. A ship equipped with electronic injection engines from MTU (Germany) is capable of speeds of 35 knots (64,8 km / h) and travels up to 200 miles at a single gas station.
One copy of the aforementioned ship from last year runs between Yalta and Sevastopol. However, due to the fact that the peninsula needs to build at least four more such SPKs, it was decided to transfer production to a “local” plant, in close proximity to the operating point.
