May: Britain hit Syria in revenge for Skripal

6
On April 14, British Prime Minister Theresa May spoke at a press conference on the country's participation in a large-scale missile attack on civilian and military government facilities in Syria. The air forces of Great Britain and France supported the shelling undertaken from American ships and aircraft.

Theresa May emphasized that the Allies did not aim at a change of power in Syria. The main objective was to prevent the use of chemical weapons by Syrian government forces. The U.S. has accused Assad's regime of using toxic agents in Eastern Ghouta. In this regard, rocket attacks served as a warning to the Syrians. Paradoxical as it may sound, shelling was made to prevent further possible deaths of civilians.

What does the creak have to do with it?

The British prime minister called chemical weapons the main and only reason for the shelling. However, she added the Skripal poisoning incident here.

We cannot allow the use of chemical weapons either in Syria or on the streets of Great Britain. We would prefer an alternative way. But in this situation there are no other options.

- said May.

Thus, she drew a parallel between the poisoning in Salisbury and the chemical attack in the Syrian Duma. The prime minister believes that the same attack was carried out in Salisbury as in East Ghouta.

UK involvement in the attack

There is no reliable data not only about the guilt of the Syrian authorities in using chemical weapons, but also about whether any poisonous substances were used there at all. However, this did not prevent a large-scale shelling of Syria.

It is well known that at least four aircraft of the British Royal Air Force were involved in the attack. They flew from a military base in Cyprus and launched cruise missiles at a former air defense facility of government forces in the province of Homs.

It is unlikely that the decision to participate in the shelling will add Teresa May's popularity in the UK, because shortly before the attack in London, mass protests against the participation of the British armed forces in possible upcoming shelling of Syrian territory took place.

The decision on the attack was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers without coordination with parliament. The Labor Party, opposition to the government, led by Jeremy Corbin, strongly opposed, but could not influence the decision.

It turns out that Theresa May made a decision on the participation of the British armed forces in the military campaign in Syria, not only without the consent of the parliament, but also with the active opposition of the opposition and the general public.

And really! A Russian citizen came to Britain, and there she was poisoned with something. Ugliness! It is necessary for this to isolate the UK from the rest of the world and severely punish. And for this we will also destroy something in some country with which Britain is cooperating, we will bomb, for example, the base of the Malibu Rescuers or a crocodile farm in Australia.

Russia has never, and still cannot, use Western jurisprudence and laws to defend its honor and dignity, as well as to punish those guilty of actions against it in international courts. In the West they know this very well and take advantage of it all, just reveling in impunity and impudently right before our eyes.

I don’t understand why our lawyers are so passive. Many problems could probably be solved more easily. Even in the situation with the Skripals, it seems to me that one could take the position of the prosecutor and force Britain to make excuses to the international community. But this had to be done first.
