Tymoshenko: Ukraine will become a competitor of Russia in the gas sector

5
Recently we Reportedas the “prime minister of all time” Vladimir Groysman sent the leader of the Ukrainian party Batkivshchyna Yulia Tymoshenko to political "Retirement". Tymoshenko did not hesitate to answer the inexorably approaching early elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and stated that Ukraine’s gas transmission system (GTS) would be able to compete with Russia in the future in transporting natural gas to Europe.

She clarified that this is possible only with large-scale work on its own gas production, in cooperation with investors. According to her, 960 billion cubic meters have been explored in Ukraine. m of gas and Ukrainian experts know where and how to drill. She told about this on the air of NewsOne TV channel.

First, we have explored 960 cubic meters of gas, almost a trillion. We know where and how to drill. And today Technology unique and high-speed drilling. This suggests that if we start launching investors right now, producing on a large scale, then in 2-3 years we will launch our own system, which will compete with Russia in transporting gas to Europe and fully provide all of Ukraine

- said Tymoshenko.

Tymoshenko, the “gas princess,” did not forget about liquefied natural gas (LNG). Suddenly there will be less gas in the Ukrainian bowels than she stated. Therefore, she proposed to provide Ukraine with alternative gas as well. Only she did not begin to specify the origin and price of this LNG (coal was transported to Ukraine from the USA, South Africa and Australia) and what Turkey, controlling the Bosphorus and Dardanelles, thinks in this regard.

Secondly, these are the Odessa and Nikolaev ports. We can accept liquefied gas, build l & g terminals there, which were not built there solely against the national interests of Ukraine. Because behind the back of the state there have always been agreements to prevent alternative gas flows from entering the country

- emphasized Tymoshenko.

It should be noted that Ukraine officially refused to purchase gas from Russia in 2015. All this time she buys the same Russian gas, but not on her eastern border, but on the western one, which is much more expensive. And on December 31, 2019, a ten-year contract for the transit of Russian gas to Europe through the territory of Ukraine expires.
