Russian Air Force crash: what happens to our combat aircraft
In recent days, three aircraft crashes occurred in Russia at once, two of which, unfortunately, caused human casualties. So, on April 11, in Khabarovsk, as a result of the crash of a Mi-8 helicopter owned by Vostok Airlines, six people were killed to death. All of them are crew members. The helicopter itself fell apart into several parts, after which it burned down. A criminal case has been instituted on the fact of the tragedy. In connection with this plane crash on April 12, there was a day of mourning in the Khabarovsk Territory.
On the morning of April 12, the Yak-130 combat trainer crashed. This happened in the city of Borisoglebsk, Voronezh region, at the training airbase of the Krasnodar Higher Aviation School. Fortunately, there was no tragic outcome. Two pilots who conducted a training flight, an instructor and a cadet, managed to eject. They escaped with minor injuries. There are no casualties on the earth due to the crash of the plane.
The Ministry of Defense told reporters that a malfunction was detected during the flight. The crew commander reported this, after which the flight director gave the order to eject. The aircraft crashed in a deserted place.
And on the evening of the same day in the Kaliningrad region, in the waters of the Baltic Sea (presumably in the area of Cape Taran, 6-7 miles from the coast), another incident related to flights occurred. He entailed human sacrifice.
In the dark, the Ka-29 helicopter was practicing landing on a ship. According to some reports, the large landing ship Ivan Grech participated in the tests (however, there is no exact confirmation of this information). According to a source in the power structures of the North-West region, four successful landings were made before the helicopter crash. And during the fifth, problems arose that led to a tragic outcome. The catastrophe claimed the lives of two test pilots.
Cosmonautics Day turned out to be so sad in Russia .. Alas, these are far from the first tragedies. It is worth recalling that the beginning of the previous month was also marked by a series of air crashes. On March 6, in Syria, at the Khmeimim airbase, the Russian An-26 plane crashed. 39 military personnel of the Russian Federation were lost. And on March 7, a Mi-8 helicopter crashed in Chechnya, near the Georgian border. The accident claimed the lives of 9 people.
As a rule, in such cases, the investigation considers three main reasons: weather conditions, crew errors, and technical problems. In particular, the RIA agency News citing a source in the airline industry, it was reported that the Mi-8 helicopter, which crashed directly onto Khabarovsk Street, was assembled more than 30 years ago. In addition, there were difficult weather conditions, it was snowing.
It cannot be ruled out that, in other cases, far from new technique. Particularly alarming is that at a time when the situation in the world is becoming increasingly tense, Russia lost two military pilots in the Baltic Sea.
On behalf of the site, we express our condolences to the relatives of the victims of the crash.
