After a series of tanker explosions in the port of Fujairah in the north of the UAE, which occurred in May, reports of a tanker explosion in the Russian port look especially alarming.

As it became known later, in the engine room of tanker No. 16, according to preliminary data owned by the Volga Shipping Company, an air-gas mixture exploded during oil pumping.
After the explosion, a fire broke out on the ship, which swept the residential part of the ship. 15 units were involved in extinguishing the tanker equipment and 57 people. Thanks to the professionalism of firefighters, the threat of an oil spill at sea was eliminated.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Health of Dagestan, three people died as a result of the explosion and three more were injured. Two victims were admitted to the Republican Clinical Hospital with burns of varying severity, and one to traumatology. One of the burned crew members is in extremely serious condition: about 95% of the body surface was damaged.
Currently, employees of the Southern Investigation Department for Transport of the IC of Russia are conducting an emergency check in the port of Makhachkala, which resulted in deaths.
