Moldovan democrats tried to secretly negotiate with Russia

1
The Democratic Party of Moldova proposes to radically change the foreign policy and political device of the country and reorient to Russia. The envelope with proposals for changing the policy of Moldova, the leader of the Democratic Party Vladimir Plahotniuc handed over to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian government Dmitry Kozak.

Dmitry Kozak told the newspaper about the content of the proposals.Kommersant". According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Russian side was extremely surprised by the similar initiative of the Moldovan democrats.

The letter spoke about the conditions under which the Democratic Party is ready to form a coalition with the Party of Socialists. Plahotniuc suggested that the socialists reorient themselves towards cooperation with Russia and turn Moldova into a federal state, which supposedly will help solve the problem with Transnistria.

But not so long ago, Vladimir Plahotniuc accused socialist leader Igor Dodon of conspiring with Moscow to federalize Moldova. And now, in fact, he himself offers the same thing.

Therefore, Moscow initially reacted to the proposal of the Democratic leader with great suspicion and advised the socialists not to enter into any secret deals with other political forces. Otherwise, the opponents of the socialists will have iron arguments in order to accuse Dodon of conspiring with Russia and of trying to change the political structure of the republic.

Recall that recently Igor Dodon was removed from the post of President of Moldova by a decision of the Constitutional Court of the country. Temporarily, the duties of the head of state are performed by Pavel Filipp, who is deputy Plahotniuc in the Democratic Party of the country.
