Russia began to build a rocket with the most powerful engine in the world

Russia began the creation of the Soyuz-5 launch vehicle, which will receive the most powerful RD-171MV engine to date. The new missile belongs to the middle class, and is designed to replace Ukrainian Zenit-type carriers. The first launch of Soyuz-5 will take place already in 2022, during the next 40 years it is planned to carry out at least 240 launches from only one Baikonur cosmodrome.

Against this background, Washington passes a law that prohibits cooperating with Russia in the space sector since 2023. Moreover, the ban itself looks more than strange, because it does not concern direct cooperation between the Russian Federation and the United States. The law implies refusal to work with foreign companies (for example, with European ones), which somehow cooperate with Moscow in the space sector.

The adopted law is ultimately aimed at forcing European and other US partners to abandon Russia's services in launching and launching spacecraft into orbit, giving preference to American companies. This is a clear confirmation that the new Russian Soyuz-5 rocket can successfully compete even with SpaceX missiles with a return stage.

There is a continuation of unfair competition in the United States, now in the field of space.
