The Chinese automobile concern Great Wall yesterday opened a plant in Russia that will begin to produce cars under the Haval brand. The production is located in the industrial park "Uzlovaya" in the Tula region.

First of all, the plant plans to launch production of the F7 crossover, after which it will master the production of the H9 SUV and the F7x coupe-crossover.
According to the Association of European Businesses referenced by the publication "Vedomosti", Last year 3213 Haval cars were sold in Russia. Thus, this brand occupied 0,2 percent of the Russian automobile market.
At the new enterprise in the Tula region, it is planned to produce 80 thousand of these machines annually, and then increase the annual output to 150 thousand.
The government of the Tula region signed a contract for the construction of the plant with Great Wall in 2014. Chinese investors initially invested $ 500 million in it. Soon, the company plans to add another 20 billion rubles to this figure.
It should be noted that the new plant will be the first full-cycle production of Haval cars outside of China.
