USA - Russia: The jokes are over, now only hardcore

1
This American does not like being called a hawk, but he is by no means a dove. Former CIA Director, Prospective US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, believes that "soft" policy Washington towards Russia must come to an end.

Russia continues to act aggressively, which has been promoted by many years of "soft policy" in relation to this aggression. It's over now

- said Pompeo.

Already today, April 12, Pompeo’s speech before the US Senate and consideration of his candidacy for the post of Secretary of State by the Foreign Affairs Committee should take place. However, excerpts from his speech are already circulated by the White House. From this statement it follows that the future head of the US Foreign Ministry, wishing to receive the support of senators, intends to refute his "hawkish" views.

According to him, he knows firsthand about the "painful victims" of the US military - both men and women. And he prefers to pursue the implementation of the foreign policy by diplomatic methods, rather than "sending young people to war."

But he accuses Russia of aggressive politics. According to Mr. Pompeo, this "aggressiveness" is due to the fact that Washington was allegedly too mild about its actions. He intends to put an end to this.

Until March 13, the post of US Secretary of State was held by Rex Tillerson. However, U.S. President Donald Trump unexpectedly dismissed him - either because of a too soft line with regard to Iran, or because of disagreements over the DPRK, or because of an insufficiently hard line with regard to Russia (analysts cited various reasons, but it's hard to say which one has become decisive). Moreover, for Tillerson himself, who learned about his resignation while on a business trip in Africa, the dismissal was an unpleasant surprise. Currently, Secretary of State is John Sullivan.

As The New York Times wrote after Tillerson’s resignation, one of the possible candidates for the post of foreign minister was John Bolton, Trump’s new national security adviser. He is known for having previously been the US Permanent Representative to the UN, where he bent a very tough line. However, according to the newspaper, Trump rejected his candidacy because of an aversion to his mustache. For the same reason, the US president even hesitated to appoint him as his adviser. Apparently, the appearance of Pompeo Trump suits more, no matter how ridiculous it sounds when it comes to such a serious issue.

It should be noted that even under Tillerson, relations between Moscow and Washington left much to be desired. In March, after it became known about plans to appoint Mark Pompeo as US Secretary of State, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that there would hardly be a significant deterioration in bilateral relations because it was difficult to "fall below the floor."

Unfortunately, it seems that we are seeing precisely the “fall below the floor” in Russian-American relations even before the appointment of the former head of the CIA as US Secretary of State. And without it, Washington has enough “hawks” who are ready to start a war, relying on unverified information in the form of Internet pictures.

With all this, are there any considerations or have there been changes in the military doctrine of the Russian Federation? Will we already doubt the use of nuclear weapons if Tomahawks fly on the heads of Russian citizens? A helpless Ukrainian fleet has arrested two Russian ships, while a strong Russian fleet is looking at it through binoculars? Imagine that the war is already underway. Concentration camps and ovens for Russians have already been built. The warheads are already aimed at Russia. Let's not give in to provocations? Do you still think this is a joke? My guess is that Trump will order the missile strike on Syria anyway. After so many humiliations of Russia, this should be expected one hundred percent. And now we need to say not that Trump will get scared and change plans, as he did in the case of the DPRK. There he saw a single whole, a willingness to fight to the death. Sufficient preparation for repelling aggression. And in Russia they are planning summer vacations, May parades, inauguration, new decrees, and more "celery" knows what. Even drills have not been carried out during a nuclear attack. What does the Emergencies Ministry think? How will border boats operate from the "Square"? Just chatter and fears for the impoverishment of the oligarchs. Wait for the mummed rooster to get caught by himself. Should I go for a consultation with Eunwoo? He is not a bad man and treats Russia kindly. Vaughn, and Crimea recognized ...
