One misfortune less: in Russia created high-strength asphalt

As the famous statement of the emperor Nicholas I says: "There are only two troubles in Russia ...". And it seems that one of them is now solvable. The structural unit of the Rostec Corporation, the Shvabe Holding, announced the development of a new high-tech pavement with increased wear resistance.





Work on the creation of a new polymer, which, when mixed with inert substances, is able to form a high-strength roadbed, was carried out as part of the Smart City project. The mission of the latter is to improve the quality of life of the population through the active introduction of the latest digital and engineering solutions.

According to the developers, the roads built using the new polymer will be able to last at least 15 years without any intermediate repairs. The bearing capacity of "high-tech asphalt" is much higher in comparison with the existing standards today. As a result, thanks to the use of the above Technology, pavement efficiency will be 30%.

As for the beginning of the practical application of development, the Rostec Corporation has not yet given any dates.
