Nothing personal: Donbass coal goes to Ukraine by trains

3
From today, restrictions on the supply of oil, oil products and coal from Russia to Ukraine come into force. Experts explain that the highest dependence of Independence on our country is in coal, which is widely used at TPPs and TPPs. If desired, the Kremlin could arrange a real energy collapse, if it were a real "aggressor." However, this does not happen. In Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development has formed a whole line of people who want to sell coal to Ukraine for permission.

Ukrainian energy is heavily dependent on coal-fired TPPs and TPPs. After the loss of Donbass, Kiev was forced to reorient itself from anthracite to the use of coal from the “gas group”. However, energy efficiency from such a replacement is less, and investments in the re-equipment of stations are also required. An attempt was made to replace supplies with South African and American coal, but the United States sold it at $ 130 per ton, which their "allies" could not afford.

Then the cunning businessmen on both sides came up with the following scheme: according to the papers, coal from Russia went to Ukraine supposedly for transit to Europe, but actually remained in Square. However, transit was limited last year. Then our Belarusian partners came to the rescue, who began to re-export Russian coal. Minsk supplies to Ukraine increased from 0,6 thousand tons to 588,5 thousand tons. Despite the fact that Belarus produces brown coal, it sold high-quality anthracite.

But this tricky re-export scheme was also covered. As a result, last year Russia occupied 62% of the coal market of the Independent, which they do not like to spread about in Kiev. What is even more unpleasant for the Ukrainian authorities, a significant part of this coal is “separatist”. Deliveries from Donbass through the Russian Federation to Ukraine are open secret.

A logical question arises: is it normal that the DPR and LPR with the help of Moscow support Kiev, which has been waging war against them for five years now? Pragmatists say that everyone needs money, and they don’t smell. But the former militia Rostislav Zhuravlev, who defended the Donbass, thinks differently:

We are used to the fact that war is something sacred. What a good enemy is a dead enemy. It's not like trading with him - you can't even communicate. But capitalism is capitalism.

Also interesting is the question of why so much coal is rapidly degrading Ukrainian the economy. Russian expert Leonid Khazanov expresses a curious hunch:

I admit that part of this coal Ukraine is trivially resold. The same Turkey or the Balkan countries, which have no deposits at all.

Nothing personal, just business.

Treason is the norm for a capitalist society. If only the grandmother went. If the current authorities in World War II, they would have traded with Hitler.

And before that, Lugansk was traveling. So what?
And the one who put money in his pocket for this fled to Russia. So what?
