It seems that dual-screen laptops could be the new industry standard. Companies HP и Asus have already introduced the corresponding models of devices. The American giant Intel did not lag behind, which not only equipped the concept of the new gaming laptop with an additional display, but also changed the form factor of the device itself. Some characteristics of the revolutionary apparatus revealed the publication The Verge.

The laptop, called Honeycomb Glacier, was equipped with a 15,6-inch main screen and an additional 12,3-inch, which occupies half of the bottom casement. However, this is not all. The cover of the laptop rises on special hinges so that the main screen is at the level of the user's eyes. In turn, the second display is installed at an angle, not only improving visibility, but also making the cooling of the laptop more efficient due to the additional flow of air.

An additional screen, as conceived by the designers, should be a very useful tool for gamers. Here you can place the map, the characteristics of the hero, chat and much more. In addition, Honeycomb Glacier was equipped with a Tobii eye tracking sensor, which will automatically activate the lower display (for example, start a chat) when the player looks at it.

As for performance, it is only known that the laptop will receive an 8-core processor from Intel and an NVIDIA GTX 1060 graphics card with overclocking. At the moment, Honeycomb Glacier is a prototype. Estimated release date and price have not yet been announced.
