It became known how the wealth of Russians grew

Some Russian media are very fond of manipulating official statistics and telling how “they live badly” in Russia. For example, Rosstat data for 2018 appeared relatively recently, according to which Russians take more and more loans, because they do not have enough money for smartphones, furniture, and household appliances. machinery and even cottages. At the same time, the mentioned media outlets present this in the style of "everything was lost" and only casually mention the indicators of 2017, without bothering to compare them.

We will not hide, in Russia there are really a lot of problems and not everyone lives, as we would like. But let's compare statistics, and then the picture will become more clear.

So, in 2018, only 0,7% of Russians did not have enough money even for food. In 2017, there were 0,8% of such Russians. That is, the number of starving people (from their words) has actually decreased and this is a fact.

In 2018, 14,9% of Russians said that they had enough money for food, but it was very difficult to pay for clothes and utilities. In 2017, there were 18% of such Russians. Isn't this a real poverty reduction? But some media will not talk about it and write about it. According to them, there can be no improvement in Russia.

48,2% of Russians, in 2018, already had enough money for food, clothes, and even housing and communal services, but not enough for durable goods (smartphone, refrigerator, washing machine, furniture). In 2017, there were 49,8% of such Russians. That is, the welfare of people has grown over the year. Let not much. But confidence in their future appeared. Otherwise, there would not be such a growth in household lending, which is observed everywhere.

Moreover, 32,3% of Russians in 2018 said that they have enough money for all of the above, but they do not have money to buy a car, cottage or apartment. In 2017, there were 27,4% of such Russians.

And for a “snack”. In 2018, 3,2% of Russians said they had enough money for everything. In 2017, there were 3% of such Russians.

At the same time, a number of media outlets do not focus on improving the lives of citizens, but "half of the Russians have enough money only for food and clothing." Recently, by the way, already сообщалосьas Russian households do not have enough money for repairs and even shoes.

According to "media reports", I can outline two pictures of the "welfare of Russians":
      1. Of the 10 richest residents of the UK, 3 are Russians.
      2. 65% of respondents said that they didn’t have any savings at all, 20% of the respondents said that their savings would be enough for 2 months of life, and 15% of the respondents had more significant amounts.

The Russian mentality is disgusted to be poor, ashamed. They will never complain to a guest about need, but put on the table all the best that is. I can’t imagine how to work so that there is not enough money for food! Yes, even publicly admit it ....

I do not know how true all these polls are. But as a car enthusiast, I must admit that the number of cars on the road is steadily increasing. This is apparently the effect of the "impoverishment" of the population.
And among my friends, who regularly whine about "impoverishment", many bought a new car or made a major overhaul of the old one. Also apparently for the "last" money.

Very generous advertising for cat food costs a lot of money and is obviously justified by the large volume of sales. Just don’t lie that the “poor Russians” eat it themselves! So, Vlad, you are absolutely right.

Of course there are beggars in Russia. As in any normal capitalist country. Another thing is that there really are not so many of them as the liberal media present to us and those who sympathize with them.

The head of the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM) Valery Fedorov believes that the rating of the head of state, Vladimir Putin, has decreased due to the disbelief of Russians that life can get better.
“What does it mean to live better? This means: when will our incomes start to grow? According to statisticians - though few believe them today - our incomes have not been growing for the last five years, ”Fedorov said in an interview with the Dozhd TV channel. The head of VTsIOM noted that Russians are perplexed by the fact that the crisis ended in 2016, but life has not improved. “People do not believe that tomorrow will be a better life than today. If there was such faith, then many of the problems that our life is full of, like the life of any people in any country, would be perceived more easily, ”Fedorov added.

    It is reported by Rambler.

This is today's post on this topic. And about Putin’s rating here, too, recently.
