The operation of the "landing" of Russian helicopters failed
Russian engineers introduced a new turboprop engine VK-2500PS-02, designed for helicopter equipment. Compared with previous versions, it has higher performance and high reliability. We should thank not only the United Engine Corporation in general and engineers in particular, but also Ukraine.
A few years ago, all helicopter equipment in Russia, both military and civilian, was equipped with Ukrainian-made engines. After the return of Crimea to our country, the Kiev authorities passed a law banning the export of high-tech products to Russia. This measure also applied to engines for helicopters.
It is alleged that this decision was made by Ukraine under pressure from Washington, which was aimed at depriving the army aviation of the Russian army of power units. Moreover, the Ukrainian ban hit our military exports, because we were deprived of the opportunity to sell and service helicopter equipment.
In the near future, the construction of three production centers in Ufa will be completed immediately, and then the new engine can be launched in a mass series.
Thus, the operation of Russia’s unfriendly countries to land its aircraft failed miserably.
