Su-57 after the S-400 may turn into a new "nightmare for the United States"

8
This review will not focus on comparing the tactical and technical characteristics of the most modern and “advanced” models of combat aircraft, which today are the Russian Su-57 and the American F-35. Let aviation specialists do this. Moreover, a good half of the known parameters of these machines is either hypothetical or, at least, unconfirmed. It is understandable - who will give out all the secrets of the latest models of military equipment? We’ll talk about something else - about the danger to our "sworn friends" from the United States that the best creations of the Russian military-industrial complex pose in commercial and foreign policy terms.

“S-400 threat” is expanding and growing

The Russian S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile system has probably been in nightmares not only for Pentagon warriors, but also for diplomats from the US Foreign Ministry and, of course, representatives of American military-industrial corporations. Following the first deliveries of these air defense systems to China, our air defense systems began a "triumphal march" almost across the planet. Turkey, India, which just recently announced its ardent desire to acquire S-400 Iraq ... The next in line are those who are hesitating or hesitant due to a possible complication of relations with the USA, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Qatar, Egypt, Algeria. In total, according to representatives of the Rostec group of air defense companies, more than a dozen countries have applied for their purchase, mainly from the Middle East, North Africa and Southeast Asia.

This situation, naturally, caused a sharply negative reaction from Washington, in places turning into almost real hysteria. There, official statements were repeatedly made that all countries that decided to acquire "Triumphs" would immediately lose their military status.political allies of the United States, and in addition will be subject to sanctions of varying degrees of severity. It works in different ways. If the Indians, who are not inclined to sharp foreign policy "movements" so much that they even managed to avoid, recently, a war with Pakistan, which seemed inevitable, speak with restraint about the "hope" not to be subjected to "punitive measures" by the United States, then the hot Turkish guys turned the process of bickering and bickering with Washington over the purchase of the S-400 in a real world show.

Ankara is not affected by threats, promises, or attempts to combine both in a truly American proportion: 90% of the carrot and 10% of the carrot. Sanctions? Survive! Refusal of military cooperation? Well, let's see how you will manage without us! Spoiled relationship? And what, is there still something left between the USA and Turkey that can be ruined ?! For Washington, the most unpleasant thing is that the “trump card” did not work, which they considered the main thing in their own deck - the ultimatum regarding the excommunication of the Turks from participation in the F-35 creation program and the US refusal to supply this “best fighter of all time”. At the same time, Americans are demonstrating the seriousness of their intentions in every possible way - for example, the Pentagon’s deputy head of arms and logistics Ellen Lord recently said that “the United States is already working on a replacement for Turkey as part of its fifth-generation fighter supply chain.” True, the official did not hesitate to add at the same time that Washington still does not lose hope that Ankara will “change its mind”. Well, wait ...

The most interesting thing is that the claims put forward by the United States that the S-400 air defense systems are supposedly “completely incompatible with NATO standards” and, therefore, can almost destroy the Alliance’s collective security system, have nothing to do with reality. This is fully confirmed by the statements made by the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Bloc, Jens Stoltenberg, who probably cost a considerable amount of gray hair to the US-Turkish squabble. The head of the Alliance made it clear and clear that her NATO allies did not see any threat to her interests and security in Ankara’s acquisition of Russian air defense systems. In general, procurement in the field of defense technology is the "sovereign right of each of the countries participating in the organization." Therefore, it is not a matter of "incompatibility." And then what?

Su-57 instead of F-35? Why not?

The roots of United States concern should be sought, rather, in a statement made by the head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov. Americans do not want to supply fighter jets to Turkey? So that's great! Russia is ready to sell its own! At least tomorrow. Moreover, according to Mr. Chemezov, in our country “with pleasure” they will consider Ankara’s proposals to launch part of the production in Turkish territory - both combat aircraft and air defense systems. We are not greedy, not Americans, tea - we are ready to share technologies with those who are serious about in-depth military-technical cooperation. And this is already for Washington - a sharp knife. Moreover, aimed at the very “heart” of his ambitious plans to maintain not just a leading, but almost a monopoly position in the global arms markets.

If someone believes that our fighter is superior in some ways to the American analogue, then only in cheapness, then he is deeply mistaken. Not so long ago, comrades from China, who were absolutely not inclined to extol foreign military-technical innovations, erupted in the end with a whole cascade of admired reviews about the Su-57. According to them, this aircraft, equipped with a quantum (or microwave) photon radar, in real air combat will be a terrible opponent even for the best aircraft of the United States Air Force. Thanks to this compact and, most importantly, insensitive to electronic interference system, our fighter will be able to shoot the "invisible" American fighters F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning II, as well as the "stealth" B-2 Spirit bomber almost as targets in dash. In any case, the Chinese, who until now have been asserting that their own fifth-generation fighter J-20 are the top of perfection, are sure of this.

However, they are not alone. The Turks themselves, after conducting an approximate comparative analysis of the two fighters, came to the conclusion that the Su-57 seems to be superior to the F-35 in a number of important parameters - such as the maximum flight duration (almost double), speed, maximum take-off weight and maximum combat load. Well, perhaps it does not have the option of vertical take-off - so it is critical only for countries with fairly large aircraft carrier groups. As for the "greater invisibility" of the American aircraft, you can talk about it until the first real clash. Confirm or refute the real stealth of a fighter, in fact, can only practice war. For those who doubt, I’ll remind you that the American F-117 "super stealth" was considered generally invulnerable to any means of air defense ... until a couple of them were "bombarded" in Yugoslavia - with almost antediluvian Soviet air defense systems.

By the way, in Ankara, they began to compare the Su-57 and F-35 not from the floundering bay, but after the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, bluntly speaking at the next negotiations in Washington, stated openly to the Americans: “Don’t give your airplanes - we’ll buy similar ones elsewhere! ” Today, fifth-generation fighters actually have Russia, the USA and China, but Beijing does not even stutter about the export of its J-20. Therefore, we can only talk about the Su-57. And there - how to know ... India, Algeria, Egypt, Malaysia may well join the "club" of its potential buyers. The most unpleasant option for the United States may be the option of equipping the armed forces of a number of countries with both our fighters and air defense systems.

The end of the "American dream"?

Declaring their readiness to "share" the F-35 and, moreover, to cooperate in its creation only with the "most reliable" allies, the US actually imposes this fighter in a natural way on all any solvent members of NATO, and not only them. The reason is simple and lies on the surface - the Americans alone simply will not “pull” this program financially. If the aircraft is exclusively a fighting vehicle for the Pentagon’s “internal consumption”, its already sky-high prime cost will turn into simply unimaginable. Of the really “golden” F-35 will become generally “diamond”. Letting such a miracle into battle is like firing bullets cast from pure platinum. That is why Washington is committed to ensuring that over time the F-35 becomes the best-selling fighter in the world.

It should be noted that reality does not fit into these ambitious plans at all. Constantly dragging out the terms of the project, a steady increase in the cost of the aircraft (instead of the promised reduction in cost), and even more than once having problems with its existing models - all this does not contribute to the "marketing" of the "most modern combat aircraft" in the creation and "promotion" whom the Americans have already invested fabulously. Having waited unsuccessfully for deliveries of the “newest” machines, Canada was deeply offended and announced that it would purchase either older models or European aircraft in general. Australia is fighting off the F-35, which is called arms and legs - the military of this country generally covers the fighter all over, calling it an almost unsuccessful experiment and casting doubt on the "unsurpassed fighting qualities" of the car on almost all counts. Japan was deeply thoughtful after the disaster of a new fighter. And rich Germany even said that she was not even going to consider the acquisition of an overseas “miracle of technology”.

Sooner or later, the United States will have to go with the F-35 to the global arms market, trying to discard at least someone. Otherwise, the program can be curtailed as incapable of recouping itself and bearing enormous losses to the state budget. This is where the roots of Washington’s extremely nervous perception of the actions of Turkey and other potential clients of the Russian military-industrial complex grow. Based on the wild horror of the Americans before Ankara's acquisition of the Triumphs, I venture to suggest that some, albeit virtual studies on the subject of “S-400 vs. F-35” in the United States have already been conducted. And the Pentagon really didn’t like the results ... As soon as it is proved that the vaunted "invisibles" are quite affordable targets for the S-400 air defense system, the issue will be finally resolved - and by no means in favor of the United States with its super-expensive and dubious developments. In fact, it is now being decided which of the fifth generation fighters will conquer the world - not in the military, but in the commercial sense. Russia's chances of winning this competition are very high.

    Again 25 ...
It may turn, or it may not turn ... not even more likely to turn ...

The S-400, like the S-300, may and may not be able to bomb Syria, but not by much. Like the Iranian counterparts of the S-300. Well-known public shot S-400 in Syria to intercept the target, alas, could not ....
I suspect that the "nightmare for the United States" is only in the heads of the journalist ....

Su-57 seems to be superior to F-35 ....

    - 2-engine fighter against a single-engine half-bomber?
But even Turkey says - come on, come on F-35 ....
Su has no engine yet, the stealth cover of the cabin was remembered only after the failure of India. And 3 pieces of SU vs 300 F produced?

And the F-35 has already entered the market, its basic cost, they wrote in Zvezda, slightly less than Raphael, the Japanese analogues of F16, etc. .....

    Alas, alas, dreams, dreams .....

maybe then you will tell us why Turkey is not afraid of losing supplies F)) Turkey says come on / come on F so that America stinks less about the S-400, otherwise it will look like a riot. Analyze "analyst")))

Because not fools, oh great Analyst

If there is an opportunity to take them cheaper, but later - you have to bargain. The saved billions will not hurt anyone ....
And for the strikes in Syria and the Kurds and the old is still enough, the benefit may be brought down there by accident ...

They give cheaper C-400 - they take it (and especially if they pay with tangerines, ha ha), they give gas / oil to the terrorists - they take .... and F, as a NATO member, will be given a discount sooner or later ....
