How much money do Russians need to be happy?

0
The Romir research holding conducted a sociological survey on the topic: how much money does an average Russian family of three need to maintain a normal standard of living. The organization interviewed approximately one and a half thousand adult Russians in different regions of Russia, among which there are residents of both cities and villages.

The results of the survey are as follows: the majority of respondents - 66% - answered that for a normal life the family needs from 45 to 120 thousand rubles. 13% of citizens believe that they need more than 120 thousand for this.

However, there are 21% of people who believe that the average family can live a month and in the amount of 20 to 45 thousand rubles.

As for the cost of living in Russia, it differs in different regions, but on average, according to the latest data, this is:

- per capita: 10 328 rubles
- for able-bodied person: 11 160 rubles
- for pensioners: 8496 rubles
- for a child: 10 181 rubles.

However, the cost of living does not take into account many of the costs that a person has to face in real life. And the set of products and services included in it is very scarce.

It turns out that there are people who believe that for a normal life a family of three will be enough and 20 thousand rubles a month. This is much less than even the cost of living. It remains only to guess what salaries these people have and what they have to save on. Or are they those who set such wages but live on completely different incomes?

According to the same survey, residents of megacities have the highest income requirements. It is noted that those who live in the city with a population of one million people, on average, consider it normal to live on 91,6 thousand rubles. In cities where the population is about 500, families would like to live on 000 thousand a month. If the city has 80,2 inhabitants, then income within 100 thousand Russian rubles is normal. The most modest requests are from those who live in villages. They called the desired income in the amount of 000 thousand rubles.

It should be noted that Romir is a private holding company that specializes in marketing and socialeconomic research. He is the representative of the international association Gallup International in Russia and the CIS countries.

Of course, the data presented can be somewhat “lame” (for example, it is not indicated what exactly is meant by “normal life”, and there are not so many respondents). But the conclusions can be made quite disappointing.

Firstly, there are people in the country who adapt to life for an amount that is less than the subsistence level. Secondly, most people could not live normally on the amount of the subsistence level (but for now, not all salaries reach it). Thirdly, the gap between the standard of living in big cities, in small cities and in rural areas is too wide.
