European Commission: LNG supplies from USA to Europe are breaking records

5
Recently we Reportedhow the Russian gas giant Gazprom first spoke about the American LNG threat. And so, the volume of deliveries of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the USA to the EU since July 2018 reached 10,4 billion cubic meters. m. Thus, the growth was 272%, as reported by the European division of the American information resource Politico, referring to data (exclusive) from the bowels of the European Commission (EC) - the EU government.

According to information, in March 2019, LNG supplies from the USA to the EU amounted to 1,4 billion cubic meters. m. This is a record volume. And now the United States, as a supplier of LNG to the EU, is in third place. They account for 12,6% of the LNG market in the EU. By the way, in the general structure of LNG exports from the USA, supplies to the EU account for a substantial 35%. That is, Americans, if other large consumers do not appear, cannot lose the LNG market in the EU. Therefore, they will hold on to him by any means.

At the same time, Oleg Aksyutin, a member of the management board and head of Gazprom’s Prospective Development Department, said that the company does not yet see threats from global LNG producers, including those from the United States, for their positions in the European market. According to him, in 2018 Gazprom increased gas exports to Europe to 201,8 billion cubic meters. m. This is three times higher than the total supply of LNG of all world producers to the European market and 55 times more than LNG supplies from the USA.

In addition, Gazprom is confident that Europe’s gas needs will only grow. This is due to a whole group of factors. The transfer of European energy to gas (abandonment of nuclear power plants), a reduction in domestic production, the expected decline in pipeline gas supplies from Algeria and the projected peak gas production in Norway. By the way, according to the information of the head of Gazprom Export, Elena Burmistrova, in 2018 the share of domestic production in the total gas consumption in Europe fell below the psychological mark of 50%. At the same time, European LNG terminals are still underloaded.

This is a record volume. And now the United States, as a supplier of LNG to the EU, is in third place.

At the end of 2018, Russia overtook the United States in terms of LNG supplies to Europe. imports from the Russian Federation = 4,43 million tons, similar deliveries from the USA = 2,7 million tons. This is stated in the annual report of GIIGNL, the International Association of LNG Importers.

the article is stupid because the author deliberately kept silent about the facts and ruled out any mention of the leaders in LNG supplies to Europe. What is it that the United States loves, that it is ready for such manipulations?

Without indicating the price, all these are speculative conclusions. The more Europe buys expensive gas, the better ... for the US. And for Russia.
The reality is that the price of GazPromovsky gas is tied to an oil basket. Oil is growing in price, so is gas. At a certain level, LNG becomes competitive. But Gazprom has long-term contracts.
I have a feeling that Russia and the US have decided to jointly "tear the EU economy to shreds"
In general, here the game is not a fool, but preference. You can’t figure it out without a half liter.

Deliveries will be considered when the vapor from the mouth goes. Now it’s easy to gnarled fingers, but what will happen in winter when the next Boston starts to freeze? In the subject !!!

So they buy LNG at spot prices, no? For long-term - only Poles with Lithuanians. Poor.
