US Intelligence Contacted Wagner PMC in Syria

2
US National Intelligence Director Daniel Coates made a statement that, in his opinion, there will no longer be any armed clashes between the US army and private military companies in Syria. Coates believes that established cooperation between all forces operating in different parts of the country will help to protect both the American army and PMCs from new clashes.

Coates's words are particularly relevant in connection with the recent decision of US President Donald Trump not to withdraw American units from Syria. Recall that on April 4 in Washington it was announced that the American army would leave Syrian land, but the exact timing of the withdrawal of troops was not specified. Donald Trump, who repeatedly emphasized the desirability of withdrawing American units from Syria, under pressure from the American military elite, nevertheless agreed to extend their presence in the country indefinitely. This is not surprising, since over the long years of the American presence in Syria, the fulfillment of the tasks assigned to the American army (real, not imagined) was never achieved. Bashar al-Assad remains the president of the country, government forces control a significant part of the territory, and many opposition groups that the US tried to help were defeated.

Daniel Coates emphasized that after the February clash, when the American army attacked the positions of the private military company Wagner, which also killed Russian citizens, the parties to the conflict take into account the position of American positions and try to prevent such situations from happening in the future. But is it worth believing the words of the chief American intelligence officer? To begin with, the United States itself does not exclude the possibility of striking at positions of Syrian government troops, on the side of which, as you know, private military companies are fighting. Accordingly, PMC fighters in this case will likewise be at risk of being fired upon or bombed by the American army.

Officially, there are no private military companies in Russia, so the Russian authorities can not respond to attacks by the US army on PMCs, nor to the words of American officials that private military companies were warned of the American army’s determination to defend its position. On the other hand, the lack of legal status of private military companies in Russia relieves the USA of any responsibility - the intelligence director spoke about clashes with PMCs, but armed people who are in territory controlled by Syrian government forces formally have neither the Syrian army nor PMC no relation. Accordingly, they can easily be declared terrorists. In Russia itself, bills providing for the possibility of legalizing private military companies were repeatedly rejected by the State Duma of the Russian Federation, therefore it is premature to discuss the likely legalization of PMCs in the country.

Officially, there should not be American troops in Syria. Can you imagine a situation where a Russian military base settled in the United States? Here recently, in Cuba, there were soldiers from the USSR, so the Americans soiled all the diapers ... recourse What can I say? The forceful squeezing of Americans by all available methods, by any means of fire without a trace and a trace, will be correct. If my memory serves me right, there are American bases in South Korea, but not in the DPRK. Therefore, such a striking example is more than convincing. In politics, they do not like the weak and worried. There are strong and strong-willed people there.
