The builders of the Crimean bridge laid more than half of the rails
The Crimean Bridge Information Center reports that more than half of the rail-sleeper grid has been assembled on the railway part of the Crimean bridge. The total length of the path will be 38 kilometers, of which 22 have already been laid.
On sites where there is already waterproofing and anti-corrosion protection, links assembled from rails and sleepers are laid. Construction is being carried out simultaneously from the Crimean coast, and from the Krasnodar Territory.
At the same time, preparatory work is underway for the further installation of automation. Signaling, centralization and blocking devices are necessary to ensure the safe movement of trains along the way. At the same time, they will exclude the possibility of a collision of trains moving towards each other.
Construction work on the Crimean bridge is carried out around the clock, every day, including weekends and holidays. About five thousand specialists are involved in them.
According to the schedule, the completion of work and the launch of railway traffic are scheduled for December this year. It is predicted that in 2020, 2,6 million passengers will be transported through the bridge over the Crimean bridge via the bridge, and by 2025 the passenger flow will increase to 4,1 million people per year.
