Note to the Russians: why traffic rules are not violated in Germany

Many German highways have no speed limits, but the drivers of this country rarely violate the rules of the road. In addition to the eternal German love of order, there are several other factors that contribute to such a tough discipline. Law enforcement officials are very zealous for traffic violations. By the way, autobahns without speed limits have recently become less and less.

The main punishment for the guilty is fines. Moreover, they are several times larger than in Russia. True, the Germans' incomes will also be larger (average wage - 1500 euros). However, drivers are “beaten” for every violation that even the harsh Russian traffic police would not pay attention to. In addition, unlike the gloomy traffic cops, with the German guards of order "to agree in a good way" will not work. And for a rude word addressed to them - a large fine.

There are speed limits in Germany: in places where road repair is underway, at junctions, in tunnels, on bridges. Compliance with the speed limit is closely monitored. Even on "unlimited" autobahns, restrictions are imposed due to bad weather conditions. In some areas you can not scorch at night - fined.

In addition, there is a recommended speed on the autobahn - 130 km / h. A fine will follow if the driver will drive at a higher speed and this will lead to an accident.

You can't stop on the German autobahn for no reason. Moreover, even if gasoline runs out - this is not considered an excuse. Not refueled on time - to blame. By the way, gas stations in the direction of travel are found every 30 kilometers.

Violation of the rules, which inevitably follows punishment, is non-observance of the distance. The driver must ride with a greater distance than half the speed with which he moves.

Categorically it is impossible to overtake on the right (in German traffic rules there is no such thing as "advancing"). But a slow ride is sometimes fraught with a fine. If one motorist provokes another to overtake on the right by driving too slowly, they will both be fined.

The left lane is intended for overtaking. Moreover, it is only for overtaking. It is forbidden to ride on it constantly.

If one of the drivers drives too slowly, and the other too aggressively signals him and blinks with headlights - this is considered a “compulsion”. Also punishable case: you can lose 375 euros, but at the same time and rights - for 3 months.

But the worst thing that can happen with a car enthusiast in Germany is the so-called "idiot test" (test for an idiot).

Usually, this is not the most pleasant (and not the cheapest) procedure for those who have lost their rights due to drunk driving. In this case, a drinker receives a fine and a notice of disqualification. They can also take away the rights for three identical traffic violations.

In order to get the rights back in these cases, you will have to go through an idiot test. The logic is simple: the first time the driver could break the rule by accident, the second time he should seriously think, and if the third time he does the same thing, the question will arise: is he an idiot?

To successfully pass the idiotic test, you need to work with psychologists for 40 hours, listen to long lectures on the rules of conduct while driving and how to relate to other motorists. Moreover, each hour lesson will cost 100 euros. After it put a special stamp. And, when a person receives all 40 stamps - he can go take it.

Theoretically, an idiot test can be passed without tedious activities. But in practice, no one succeeds. Questions on the test are approximately the following:

Imagine that you are standing drunk on the street. Next to you is a woman who suddenly began prenatal labor. Her life depends on your help. Your actions:

1. I will drive to save a woman;
2. Call a taxi;
3. I will call an ambulance.

Any of these three answers is incorrect. The correct answer is: "I do not drink, and therefore this situation will not happen to me."

Those who went through an idiotic test never drive again, even if they drank quite a bit of beer.
