American spacecraft engine test ended in failure

The “abnormal situation” ended the tests of the engines of the latest American ship Crew Dragon, which is created as a replacement for the Russian “Soyuz”. This became known to the publication Space News. The incident occurred at Cape Canaveral in Florida last Saturday.

As SpaceX clarified, previous SuperDraco rocket engine tests were successful, but something went wrong during the final test. Now the engineers of the company, together with specialists from NASA, are finding out the reasons for what happened.

Local media published footage showing clubs of orange smoke above the fire test site.

In 2011, with the end of the shuttle flight program, Americans lost the ability to deliver their astronauts to Earth orbit. Since that time, they have redeemed places in the Russian Soyuz ships. In 2014, NASA and SpaceX signed a contact to create a new manned spacecraft.

Crew Dragon completed its first flight to the ISS on March 2, 2019. He was recognized as successful, but passed in unmanned mode, without a crew on board. It is planned that in the future the carrier of the ship will be the BFR (Big Falcon Rocket) rocket developed in SpaceX.

And what can they do if they have forgotten how to build engines, but there’s no new Brown?
