NATO countries started bickering over Syria

In his traditional Easter letter, Urbi et Orbi, the Pope once again called for peace in Syria’s “beloved and suffering”, where the people are “exhausted by a war that cannot see an end.” Unfortunately, the pontiff is right in this case - it is difficult to expect the end of the Syrian war.

Of course, no one in the West will name the true culprits of this war. They, the culprits and arsonists, repainted as "fighters against terrorism." Despite Trump’s recent statement that the United States needs to leave Syria, it doesn’t seem like this intention was actually realized. Pentagon generals are determined not only to be in Syria, but also to attract new uninvited guests there.

So, General Robert Neller, the commander of the US Marine Corps, made a statement that Washington has no opportunity to independently fight the “Islamic State” (a terrorist organization banned in Russia). Therefore, Neller believes, other countries must be involved in this matter.

The world is big, and therefore the National Security Strategy speaks of the need to create alliances and partnerships. We do not have sufficient forces for independent struggle, and we will not do this alone. But we can help other states to increase the effectiveness of their own anti-terrorist units and security forces.

- said the American general at a conference dedicated to the alleged fight against IS. He specified what kind of state. Among them are Britain, Italy and France.

On what basis should all these countries participate in what the United States calls the “fight against the Islamic State”? It is clear that official Damascus will not call for these countries to help, and the UN Security Council has not and will not give consent to their participation. But this problem does not concern either the Pentagon or Washington as a whole. They have long been accustomed to acting like invaders.

The tragicomic situation develops with interference in countries such as Turkey and France in the internal Syrian affairs. It came to the point that one of the occupiers - Turkey - accused France of trying to occupy the northern territories of Syria. In this way, the Turkish defense minister, Nurettin Janikli, assessed the desire of Paris to support the Kurdish armed groups and send them a contingent to help.

If France tries to deploy its military contingent in northern Syria, this will be an illegal step from the point of view of international law. France’s actions may be regarded as an attempt to occupy Syrian lands

- declared Dzhanikli. He added that he hoped that France would abandon such an adventure.

The words of the Turkish Minister of Defense could be regarded as absolutely correct. Indeed, international law does not allow interfering in the affairs of another state without the sanction of the UN Security Council and without the consent of the leadership of that state. If not for one “but”, namely: Turkey itself behaves in Syria as an occupier.

Ending the Syrian war could only be one way: to withdraw from there all the dishonest international players who are in this country without any reason. Stop supporting these same terrorists from the "Islamic State" and from other groups. Further, those countries that were officially invited by the Syrian leadership would successfully cope with the terrorists.

But it is difficult to expect sincerity from the United States and NATO countries. So far, all their statements about the need to end the war in Syria are an outright lie.

In general, Syria has one way out: with the help of Russia, to knock out the terrorists, and start slowly, slowly, without hurrying to squeeze in the place with the terrorists, whatever they are called, NATO troops. After all, they themselves will not leave, they need to set the direction, and preferably with a good kick in the ass. Here, to help Syria call on at least several more countries, knowing with confidence that they will leave afterwards, but certainly not from NATO countries and the like.

It is necessary to strike more at those centers of terrorism where NATO members are present - they will quickly leave.
