Salaries of Russian astronauts became known
What can be the size of the salary of people whose workplace is space at a distance of several hundred kilometers from the surface of the earth?
The answer to this question was given by the Hero of Russia, pilot-cosmonaut, adviser to the head of the Cosmonaut Training Center Sergey Zaletin during an interview with the publication "News".
Zaletin said that the average salary of an astronaut is 170 thousand rubles and depends on the length of service and the number of flights into space.
So, according to him, a newcomer to the cosmonaut corps receives 110 thousand rubles, and a first-class astronaut, behind whose two or three flights - 300 thousand rubles.
According to the expert, the average salary of 170 thousand is not enough for an astronaut, who, as a rule, has an unemployed wife and two children. Zaletin believes that the astronaut should have a salary at the level of large officials.
Recall that at present there are just over a hundred acting cosmonauts around the world. Of these, about fifty in the United States, thirty-three in Russia and about twenty in Europe.
Despite the statements of a number of scientists about the need to use exclusively robots for space exploration, in the foreseeable future only man remains an indispensable universal space explorer, which no robot can compare with.
