Boeing 737 MAX aircraft updated software and tested almost a hundred times

Boeing has tested the advanced 737 MAX Series aircraft software about a hundred times. It should be recalled that in October last year such a plane crashed in Indonesia, and in March of this year similar plane crash occurred in Ethiopia.

Boeing is now testing an improved version of the MCAS (Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System) auxiliary maneuvering system. It is the malfunctions of this system, as suggested, that could cause the death of aircraft.

Company CEO Dennis Melenberg spoke in Dallas, Texas, at the George W. Bush Presidential Library. He said that with the new software, such cases should no longer occur.

Our engineers and equipment worked tirelessly in collaboration with the US Federal Aviation Administration and customers to complete and install the software update. It must ensure that such incidents do not recur.

- said the CEO of Boeing, whose words are quoted by the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal.

However, it is not yet known exactly when the improved auxiliary maneuvering system will be introduced. It must be certified in order for the 737 MAX flights to resume.

Earlier, the US Federal Aviation Administration ordered the suspension of flights of these aircraft in US airspace.
