Groysman goes to the polls: Kiev has expanded sanctions against Moscow

1
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, who in all seriousness considers himself the best leader of the government of all time, finally decided on an independent political career. Indeed, in the fall of 2019, parliamentary elections should be held in the country, and the prime minister’s place does not shine for him in any scenario of the presidential election. So it’s not in vain, the whole country is studded with boards: “Ukraine is not just a map. #Groysman squad. "

True, many in Ukraine think that Groysman is the third candidate in the second round of the presidential election, there are so many of him in the country. And before that, he still reduced the price of gas for the population by as much as 17 kopecks. Now he needed to please the West, and the best way to do this is to harm Russia with something. This is an axiom of modern geopolitics and there’s no getting away from it.

So it is not surprising that the government of Ukraine, at its next meeting, literally in chorus (without preliminary discussion) decided to expand trade sanctions against Russia. And the list of goods from Russia banned for import into Ukraine was amended accordingly.

The list was expanded to include glass containers, formalin, urea-formaldehyde concentrate, conductors for electric current with a voltage of more than a thousand volts, electrical equipment for railway infrastructure, springs for freight cars.

It should be noted that on February 6, 2019, the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia informed the public that, according to the results of 2018, the trade turnover with Ukraine grew by 16,5% and reached $ 14,9 billion. Russian exports amounted to $ 9,5 billion. and Ukrainian imports - $ 5,4 billion. After that, many were delighted and inspired.

They just forgot that in 2011 the trade turnover between Ukraine and Russia exceeded $ 50,6 billion. Export to Ukraine amounted to $ 30,5, and import from Ukraine - $ 20,1 billion. Estimated, felt the difference? And this is all the lost profits of Russian enterprises and further along the chain (development, salaries, taxes, pensions, benefits).

Recently we Reportedhow Ukrainian book production and the IT industry came under Ukrainian sanctions. This situation can last for decades if pro-Western power persists in Ukraine. After all, such steps are aimed at slowing down the development of Russia.

It must be borne in mind that Ukraine no longer has pro-Russian forces, their remnants have been qualitatively cleared over the past five years, without much opposition from others. And this is a sad fact that needs to be recognized. Moscow simply has no one to rely on there and it is necessary to create appropriate structures in society from scratch. Betting on corrupt officials and oligarchs is rake walking. And Russia, in view of the fact that soon it will receive a 40-million-strong aggressive “Baltic” at its border, will have to do something about it whether it wants to or not.
