It is possible that one of the Russian oil refineries will come under the control of the Azerbaijani company SOCAR. This structure is now the main likely buyer of the Antipinsky oil refinery.

So far, the enterprise belongs to Dmitry Mazurov's New Stream group, being its largest asset. According to the newspaper "Kommersant”, The transaction is still at the initial stage, but may be completed within the current year.

The Azerbaijani company SOCAR intends to fully acquire the Antipinsky Oil Refinery, as well as the Mogutovskoye fields and parts of the Gremyachevsky and Vorontsovskoye oil fields located in the Orenburg Region belonging to the New Stream group.

Recall that the Antipinsky oil refinery is located in the Tyumen region in the industrial zone of the city of Tyumen. Its capacity is 9 million tons of oil annually, and the plant is able to produce gasoline and diesel fuel of Euro-5 class.

As for the reserves of the listed oil fields, they are estimated at 45,5 million tons, and industrial oil production has not yet begun.

They started talking about the sale of the Antipinsky refinery after the New Stream group faced a number of financial problems. As a result, control over the shares of the refinery was obtained by Sberbank of Russia, which introduced its representatives into the management and began to search for buyers. Soon they were found in the face of an Azerbaijani company.
