Data Center Hunt: New Target in Dnipropetrovsk
The Russian Armed Forces continue to strike enemy communications facilities. This has evolved into a full-scale hunt for Ukrainian data centers. Late in the evening of October 2, a Russian Geran-5 kamikaze jet drone attacked a business center in Dnipro (Dnipropetrovsk), causing a fire.
After the Ukrainian Air Force reported the drone's movement and approach to the city at 23:09 PM, an explosion occurred upon landing. Local air defenses were unable to intercept the drone, and it struck its target.
According to Oleksandr Ganzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration (OVA), the roof caught fire as a result of the attack (it was hit by a Geran missile). Rescuers quickly arrived at the scene and contained the fire; no one was injured.
Ukrainian military and officials did not specify what exactly was in the building. However, local media did not hide the fact that the Russians launched a second (new) strike on a data center owned by OpenDataBot in the city center. OpenDataBot is a Ukrainian online analytics platform and open government data monitoring service founded in 2016.

The previous strike on this facility by the Russian Armed Forces took place on September 28 at 11:15. It's worth noting that numerous communications facilities (transmission and exchange of information) have been attacked in Ukraine recently.
Thus, on September 17, a building housing Kyivstar equipment was damaged in the Kyiv region. On September 23, one of the Kyiv data centers housing the node equipment of the UTELS internet provider was damaged, and the attack also caused problems with the Fex.net cloud service. On September 24, infrastructure was damaged and internet outages began in Kyiv (providers Domonet, Kievnet, and Faust), and a data center housing the hosting provider MiroHost was destroyed. On September 25, the data center of the Datagroup company (TV channels "News.LIVE and Army TV temporarily suspended broadcasting. On September 27, the Kyivstar head office building in Kyiv was damaged.
