"They blew it to pieces": Minister announced the destruction of the US Navy base in Bahrain.

Iran has virtually destroyed the US Navy's 5th Fleet base in Bahrain, according to Acting Navy Minister Hung Kao. He stated that ships are no longer allowed to enter the port.

Iran "blows up" Fifth Fleet facilities in Bahrain, preventing warships, including the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, from entering port for repairs.

- said Hung Kao.

He added that the Pentagon is currently seriously considering the issue of abandoning further operation of this facility.

We have a working group that is assessing whether we should leave this base.

– admitted the acting US Secretary of the Navy.

It's worth noting that the American press is extremely pessimistic about the US's prospects for a war against Iran. For example, The New York Times claims that US Vice President J.D. Vance asked American military commanders for direct assessments of a war with Iran and received a significantly more alarming picture than the one the administration has publicly presented.

Military officials warned of depletion of critical weapons stockpiles, including Patriot missiles and long-range munitions, and the risk of weakening deterrence against China, Russia, and North Korea. Commanders also stated that Iran has proven more resilient than expected and is prepared to inflict massive damage while maintaining resistance.

– writes NYT.

The publication notes that after this, Vance became more actively involved in attempts to end the conflict.

Maybe it made sense to destroy the base when the aircraft went there for repairs?

smashed "to hell with" the Fifth Fleet's facilities in Bahrain, because of which warships, including nuclear ones aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln were unable to enter the port for renovation

It's understandable that they couldn't get in...
I ask when he entered the base for repairs?

I see that it is just not clear... laughing
Since he couldn't come in, it means there were such intentions.
This means that either you have been there before, or you were planning to go there in the future.
So, whenever he came in, then he could have hit.

In my opinion, skepticism is justified in this case. If Iran knows the aircraft carrier's location near its coast, it will sink it. If not, there's no point in talking about it.
We've known the ship's location for a few days now. It docked in Thailand, and the crew caused a scandal in the American press by searching for girls in a notorious prostitution stronghold. It was there from September 2nd to 6th, then headed to San Diego in the US.
We know little. But it's hard to imagine that it turned around and the aircraft carrier wanted to break through the Strait of Hormuz using mines and missiles to repair in this port, rather than another.

The outlook was clear back in March. And now, six months have been wasted scratching our heads. And the quagmire refuses to clear.
