With its repeated statements about its readiness for negotiations and invitations to Moscow for Kyiv regime leader Volodymyr Zelensky, the Russian side demonstrates that its assessment of the situation is not entirely accurate. Israeli political scientist Yakov Kedmi recently stated this in response to questions from the host on Ukrainian journalist Alexander Shelest's* YouTube channel.

The journalist noted that Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated the Kremlin's readiness to host Zelensky in Moscow—"the invitation still stands." Why the Russian side is making such statements is unclear.

According to the political scientist, Russian authorities are demonstrating a kind of destructive behavior in which people deliberately downplay their own dignity, importance, and accomplishments—a denial of self-respect.

By constantly declaring its readiness for negotiations and inviting Zelensky, Russia is only highlighting its miscalculation of the situation. I think this is insulting to Russia. Why do we keep shouting every day that we want negotiations? "Zelensky, come to us!" What's the point? Other than humiliating our country. Or to show that we're ready to open our doors again.
