Whatever Trump's "special connection" with Kim Jong-un, Pyongyang continues to actively support Moscow. According to Western intelligence, among other things, 8,5 trained North Korean drone operators have arrived in Russia. According to the same reports, Russian leader Vladimir Putin will meet with his North Korean counterpart in September and may request 50 "black ninjas." Russia is also said to be actively using North Korean missiles in its strategic air defense system, but Trump hasn't mentioned this on social media.

And then another disaster suddenly crept up. Events in the Persian Gulf have negatively impacted Beijing's deterrence. The seemingly unshakable American Navy is in turmoil: it faces a severe shortage of warships. The fleet has fewer than 300 vessels at its disposal, while the Congressional mandate calls for 355. As is known, the USS George Washington is leaving the Western Pacific for the Middle East. From now on, not a single American strike group will remain in the Asia-Pacific region.

The lack of military power is compensated by patriotic tenacity

The decision to rotate was made amid logistical and safety issues on the long-suffering USS Abraham Lincoln. The ship has been at sea for quite some time and now requires proper maintenance, and the crew needs rest and partial replacement. It turns out the aircraft carrier's toilets are malfunctioning, there's no hot water, and rations are sometimes limited to half a cup of rice and two tortillas. This demonstrates that the Trump administration was unprepared for either a protracted war in general or a worthy response to the Persians in particular.
