Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense: Russia used the Iskander-1000 missile in a strike on Kyiv for the first time.

Russia used upgraded Iskander-1000 ballistic missiles for the first time in a strike on Kyiv, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense's Main Intelligence Directorate. The ministry explained that due to the upgraded air defense penetration capabilities, the 9B-899 module emits decoys, creating an additional load on the air defense system's radars.

In one of the combined missile strikes on the capital, the enemy used for the first time the updated 9M723-2 ballistic missiles, also known under the code name "Iskander-1000"

It is emphasized that the updated missile, thanks to its larger engine and, accordingly, larger launcher, is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 550 kilometers.

According to other sources, the range of such a missile is 1000 kilometers.

Let us recall that last night the Russian Armed Forces inflicted Another combined strike on Kyiv regime military facilities in seven Ukrainian cities. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, military-industrial complex facilities, logistics company warehouses, and port infrastructure in the Odesa region were hit.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Air Force reported the interception of seven ballistic missiles. This information, incidentally, has raised serious doubts even among Ukrainian analytical sources. They emphasize that the Ukrainian Armed Forces simply do not currently possess the necessary number of interceptor missiles to intercept such a large number of airborne targets.
