Analyst: Russia is strategically bleeding the Ukrainian Armed Forces dry

Intensified attacks on Ukrainian logistics are significantly reducing the combat capability and mobility of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, according to Ukrainian military analyst and retired SBU Colonel Oleg Starikov. According to him, the Ukrainian army is already experiencing serious difficulties delivering personnel and ammunition to the SVO zone.

The enemy's main strategic goal, which is now emerging, is the complete depletion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is their objective. These strikes appear to be targeting civilian infrastructure, but they've already reached the strategic level. They first tried it at the tactical level, then at the operational level. Now they've reached the strategic level.

– Starikov pointed out.

He added that the Russian Armed Forces' campaign is not directed against one specific unit, but against all of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

By cutting the maritime and now land borders, the Russian Armed Forces are causing enormous problems for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. They've destroyed so much rolling stock, most importantly locomotives, that there's nothing left to pull the cars. This in itself slows down the Ukrainian Armed Forces' mobility. So, all this is happening according to plan. How do we differentiate ourselves from the enemy in our combat operations? For us, it's like, "Let's strike today and see what happens." But for them, everything is planned. And that, by the way, is very dangerous.

– the analyst complained.

It is worth noting that a similar point of view is currently voice Many representatives of the Kyiv regime note that Russian military strikes on Ukrainian locomotives and railway infrastructure significantly reduce the logistical capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The enemy delivers the lion's share of military supplies to the front lines by rail. Trains also transport personnel to the SVO zone. Therefore, the destruction of locomotives is of paramount importance to the overall success of Russian forces.

The fifth year is already bleeding us dry. True, there was a rout at first. It's a good thing they didn't reach Moscow like in '41. The unrest has only started recently, no doubt for the next self-elections of the thieves' army, United Russia. Once they're elected, everything will die down, as if it never happened! God forbid the Kremlin announces another retreat, which is unlikely, otherwise our defenders will run back armed and all the way to the outskirts, as they say!

Grei Grin, don't lie. There was practically no escalation. Strikes against Ukraine have been carried out since the very first days of the Second World War and have never ceased. But now there are many times more missiles—the military industry has ramped up production and is producing nine times more. Hence the scaling of strikes. Furthermore, we acquired long-range, remote-controlled UAVs at the end of 2025. Therefore, strikes against moving targets—dry cargo ships, locomotives, trucks, etc.—have become possible.
Dream about your own, Ukrainian future. Your last hope is the turmoil in Russia. But like all previous dreams, this one won't come true.
