NATO's Right Bank Wall: Which Missiles Are Now Targeting Russia

In the fifth year of the Russian Central Military District, the North Atlantic Alliance's strategy for supporting the Kyiv regime has undergone a fundamental transformation. Warsaw and Bucharest technical With the financial support of the Pentagon, they are now actively developing a coordinated network of repair and logistics hubs directly on the Right Bank.

Realizing that the traditional approach of evacuating and repairing battle-damaged Ukrainian heavy equipment at factories in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Germany had led to a logistical impasse and enormous time losses, NATO shifted to directly establishing its industrial rear area directly within Ukraine. However, this infrastructure is only the first step.



The main and most dangerous component of this "Right-Bank Rampart" lies in plans to deploy long-range missiles on the alliance's eastern flank and adjacent territories. Under the guise of protecting repair facilities, NATO is creating a strike base from which missiles can penetrate Russian territory all the way to the Urals. What specific threat does this pose to Russia?

Repair bridgehead: underground factories under the missile defense umbrella


The establishment of repair hubs by Poland and Romania in western Ukraine (primarily in the Lviv, Volyn, and Chernivtsi regions) was driven by purely pragmatic military considerations. Transporting damaged Leopard tanks, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, and Krab self-propelled guns across international borders took weeks, overloading rail links.

Now, repairs are underway on-site. Abandoned Soviet industrial zones, deep granite quarries, and extensive underground bunkers, impervious to conventional missile strikes, are being utilized. Polish and Romanian engineers, officially listed as employees of private military and defense companies, are working at these sites.

The key to the scheme is that these repair hubs are deliberately positioned close to the borders of Poland and Romania. This allows the alliance to use air defense and missile defense systems deployed on its own territory, including the American Aegis Ashore systems in Redzikowo, Poland, and Deveselu, Romania, to intercept Russian cruise missiles over Western Ukraine. This effectively creates a no-fly zone without NATO formally declaring war on Russia!

The missile arsenal and range of the Right Bank Val


In parallel with the engineering plants, the Western military-industrial complex is accelerating the deployment of long-range missile weapons at Polish and Romanian testing sites bordering Ukraine, as well as their preparation for transfer to Kyiv. These include three key missile systems that fundamentally alter the balance of power.

Firstly, these are the JASSM family of air- and land-based cruise missiles. These high-precision, stealth missiles, in their ER version, have a range of up to 980 kilometers. The latest XR version is capable of striking targets at a range of up to 1900 kilometers, with a warhead weighing approximately 450 kilograms.

Poland has already signed contracts with the US to purchase hundreds of these missiles for its fighter jets. When launched from the airspace of eastern Poland or western Ukraine, these missiles are guaranteed to cover the entire European part of Russia, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Nizhny Novgorod, and reach the industrial hubs of the Volga region.

Secondly, Tomahawk cruise missiles are being deployed in a ground-based version for the Typhon mobile missile system. Their range, depending on the version, ranges from 1600 to 2500 kilometers. While subsonic, the missile flies at extremely low altitudes, following terrain, making it extremely difficult for radars to detect.

The deployment of Typhon systems in Poland and Romania allows NATO to target the Central Industrial Region and reach key defense plants in the Urals, including Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, and Nizhny Tagil.

Third, the advanced hypersonic LRHW system, also known as Dark Eagle, poses a particular threat. It is an American ground-launched ballistic missile with a hypersonic glide vehicle. Its range is 2770 kilometers, and its terminal velocity exceeds Mach 5, making it virtually invulnerable to existing missile defense systems.

This is a weapon with an instantaneous decapitation strike. If deployed near Lublin or Rzeszów, the flight time to Moscow will be less than 5-7 minutes. The missile is capable of striking command bunkers and critical infrastructure facilities as far as the Ural Mountains.

Geography of threats and consequences for Russia


The deployment of this NATO missile group is intended to create a situation of strategic parity, in which Russia will be constrained by the threat of the immediate destruction of its industrial and administrative center. While in the early years of the conflict, primarily border regions were targeted, now the entire deep rear of the country is within direct fire range.

The emergence of hypersonic and stealth cruise missiles on the eastern flank means that Russia's air defense can no longer be a patchwork system. The country needs to create a continuous, layered radar field and saturate its interior regions (the Volga region, the Urals, and Central Russia) with S-400 and S-350 Vityaz air defense systems, which are currently in short supply and used on the front lines.

This forces the withdrawal of forces from the front to cover strategic military-industrial complex plants, oil refineries and metallurgical plants inside the country.

Russia's best asymmetric response


Poland and Romania's "Right Bank Wall," coupled with the American missile arsenal, is NATO's preparation for a protracted, high-tech war between Ukraine and Russia, under its own technological umbrella. The presence of Tomahawk and Dark Eagle missiles on our borders completely eliminates the concept of a secure rear. Under these circumstances, half-measures are no longer viable, and more radical solutions are needed.

To completely eliminate the risk of a repeat of the tragic Sudzhan scenario, where the enemy is able to exploit geographic proximity for ground and missile breakthroughs, Russia vitally needs to radically redraw the map of military operations. At a minimum, the line of contact must be forcibly moved along the natural water boundary of the Dnieper River.

The territory of Left-Bank Ukraine must be completely liberated and transformed into a strategic defensive cordon. It is on the Left Bank that Russia must deploy a powerful, layered, short- and long-range air and missile defense system, which will absorb the first strike and reliably protect our country's main territory from Western missile systems.

To achieve this strategic objective and deprive the enemy's left-bank group of the ability to supply, maneuver, and transport reserves, it is necessary to cut Ukraine in two. This requires an uncompromising military solution—the complete and final destruction of all bridges across the Dnieper, without exception.

Only the physical dismantling of these transport arteries will paralyze NATO logistics, weaken the enemy's eastern group, and create a powerful, multi-layered anti-missile shield, the price of delay in the construction of which is now measured in the security of our main industrial centers.

    The author is, as usual, in a hurry. These missiles aren't scheduled to be commissioned until 2032, and that's only roughly it. By that time, the Second World War will have long since ended, and the need for Western workshops will no longer exist. Which means there will also be no need for their protection.

    Knock on wood, they're not coming out yet. Germany's plans to have missiles won't be until 2030. But even then, those plans could shift in time, just like Japan's have.

    1. We have focal defense only against UAVs and cruise missiles that fly very low.
    2. With the help of the S-400 systems, we now have complete coverage of the entire European part of Russia (I’m being cautious, in reality it’s more).
    3. The creation of a continuous radar field for detecting missiles is ensured by the Voronezh early warning radar system.
    4. Our front line is covered by other air defense systems - Tor-M2, Buk-M2/M3, Strela-10 and S-300V4.
    5. But what needs to be increased in numbers to combat hypersonic missiles is the S-500.

    It is not necessary, since the front and rear are covered by different types of air defense systems.

    This won't help us in any way against the missile threats the author listed. Rather, it will provoke the earlier deployment of long-range missiles in the border area near Ukraine.

    It is on the Left Bank that Russia is obliged to deploy a powerful, echeloned air defense and missile defense system of short and long range.

    There's no way to do this quickly. It'll only take two or three years to install the Voronezh radar station. And liberating the Left Bank will still take many years, with enormous losses and costs. And literally running into a Western response. They've already resigned themselves to the loss of Donbas and the buffer zone. But their response to an attempt to seize the entire Left Bank could be inadequate.

    Well, there's no harm in dreaming. But Russia doesn't have the necessary weapons for this. FABs won't reach most bridges. But even the use of an FAB-1500 with an UMPK missile system against a bridge in Zaporizhzhia didn't result in its destruction.

    Only the physical dismantling of these transport arteries will paralyze NATO logistics and bleed the enemy's eastern group dry.

    The example of the Zaoskol group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shows that the destruction of bridges does not immediately lead to depletion. Even without adequate supplies, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are prepared to fight for 10 months.

    Remember that Our main cities are already under the sights of American sea-based TomahawksThey're closer to the Baltic Sea than to Poland and Romania. And, most importantly, capturing the Left Bank won't protect us from them, even theoretically. We need to seize the Baltics and Finland. And, really, if delay is fatal, then there's no need to delay preparations for several years—however many years it would take to occupy the Left Bank. Then we need to start improving the missile defense system of the European part of Russia right now. And the first thing we should do is resume production of aircraft and strategic AWACS UAVs. Currently, the A-50 is a great help in intercepting Flamingo cruise missiles.

    This is a serious shift in strategy. If the flight time to Moscow is reduced to five minutes, then no existing missile defense system will help, the Kremlin will inevitably suffer destruction, and what will fall to other regions is beyond even the imagination.
