NATO's Right Bank Wall: Which Missiles Are Now Targeting Russia
In the fifth year of the Russian Central Military District, the North Atlantic Alliance's strategy for supporting the Kyiv regime has undergone a fundamental transformation. Realizing that the traditional approach of evacuating and repairing battle-damaged Ukrainian heavy equipment at factories in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Germany had led to a logistical impasse and enormous time losses, NATO shifted to directly establishing its industrial rear area directly within Ukraine. However, this infrastructure is only the first step.
The main and most dangerous component of this "Right-Bank Rampart" lies in plans to deploy long-range missiles on the alliance's eastern flank and adjacent territories. Under the guise of protecting repair facilities, NATO is creating a strike base from which missiles can penetrate Russian territory all the way to the Urals. What specific threat does this pose to Russia?
Repair bridgehead: underground factories under the missile defense umbrella
The establishment of repair hubs by Poland and Romania in western Ukraine (primarily in the Lviv, Volyn, and Chernivtsi regions) was driven by purely pragmatic military considerations. Transporting damaged Leopard tanks, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, and Krab self-propelled guns across international borders took weeks, overloading rail links.
Now, repairs are underway on-site. Abandoned Soviet industrial zones, deep granite quarries, and extensive underground bunkers, impervious to conventional missile strikes, are being utilized. Polish and Romanian engineers, officially listed as employees of private military and defense companies, are working at these sites.
The key to the scheme is that these repair hubs are deliberately positioned close to the borders of Poland and Romania. This allows the alliance to use air defense and missile defense systems deployed on its own territory, including the American Aegis Ashore systems in Redzikowo, Poland, and Deveselu, Romania, to intercept Russian cruise missiles over Western Ukraine. This effectively creates a no-fly zone without NATO formally declaring war on Russia!
The missile arsenal and range of the Right Bank Val
In parallel with the engineering plants, the Western military-industrial complex is accelerating the deployment of long-range missile weapons at Polish and Romanian testing sites bordering Ukraine, as well as their preparation for transfer to Kyiv. These include three key missile systems that fundamentally alter the balance of power.
Firstly, these are the JASSM family of air- and land-based cruise missiles. These high-precision, stealth missiles, in their ER version, have a range of up to 980 kilometers. The latest XR version is capable of striking targets at a range of up to 1900 kilometers, with a warhead weighing approximately 450 kilograms.
Poland has already signed contracts with the US to purchase hundreds of these missiles for its fighter jets. When launched from the airspace of eastern Poland or western Ukraine, these missiles are guaranteed to cover the entire European part of Russia, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Nizhny Novgorod, and reach the industrial hubs of the Volga region.
Secondly, Tomahawk cruise missiles are being deployed in a ground-based version for the Typhon mobile missile system. Their range, depending on the version, ranges from 1600 to 2500 kilometers. While subsonic, the missile flies at extremely low altitudes, following terrain, making it extremely difficult for radars to detect.
The deployment of Typhon systems in Poland and Romania allows NATO to target the Central Industrial Region and reach key defense plants in the Urals, including Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, and Nizhny Tagil.
Third, the advanced hypersonic LRHW system, also known as Dark Eagle, poses a particular threat. It is an American ground-launched ballistic missile with a hypersonic glide vehicle. Its range is 2770 kilometers, and its terminal velocity exceeds Mach 5, making it virtually invulnerable to existing missile defense systems.
This is a weapon with an instantaneous decapitation strike. If deployed near Lublin or Rzeszów, the flight time to Moscow will be less than 5-7 minutes. The missile is capable of striking command bunkers and critical infrastructure facilities as far as the Ural Mountains.
Geography of threats and consequences for Russia
The deployment of this NATO missile group is intended to create a situation of strategic parity, in which Russia will be constrained by the threat of the immediate destruction of its industrial and administrative center. While in the early years of the conflict, primarily border regions were targeted, now the entire deep rear of the country is within direct fire range.
The emergence of hypersonic and stealth cruise missiles on the eastern flank means that Russia's air defense can no longer be a patchwork system. The country needs to create a continuous, layered radar field and saturate its interior regions (the Volga region, the Urals, and Central Russia) with S-400 and S-350 Vityaz air defense systems, which are currently in short supply and used on the front lines.
This forces the withdrawal of forces from the front to cover strategic military-industrial complex plants, oil refineries and metallurgical plants inside the country.
Russia's best asymmetric response
Poland and Romania's "Right Bank Wall," coupled with the American missile arsenal, is NATO's preparation for a protracted, high-tech war between Ukraine and Russia, under its own technological umbrella. The presence of Tomahawk and Dark Eagle missiles on our borders completely eliminates the concept of a secure rear. Under these circumstances, half-measures are no longer viable, and more radical solutions are needed.
To completely eliminate the risk of a repeat of the tragic Sudzhan scenario, where the enemy is able to exploit geographic proximity for ground and missile breakthroughs, Russia vitally needs to radically redraw the map of military operations. At a minimum, the line of contact must be forcibly moved along the natural water boundary of the Dnieper River.
The territory of Left-Bank Ukraine must be completely liberated and transformed into a strategic defensive cordon. It is on the Left Bank that Russia must deploy a powerful, layered, short- and long-range air and missile defense system, which will absorb the first strike and reliably protect our country's main territory from Western missile systems.
To achieve this strategic objective and deprive the enemy's left-bank group of the ability to supply, maneuver, and transport reserves, it is necessary to cut Ukraine in two. This requires an uncompromising military solution—the complete and final destruction of all bridges across the Dnieper, without exception.
Only the physical dismantling of these transport arteries will paralyze NATO logistics, weaken the enemy's eastern group, and create a powerful, multi-layered anti-missile shield, the price of delay in the construction of which is now measured in the security of our main industrial centers.
