NATO warships arrived in Ukraine and Georgia

1
On April 1, 2019, the “peace-loving” NATO bloc conducted another rally of “intimidation” of Russia in the Black Sea. The entry of the Alliance’s warships in Poti and Odessa should, as it were, symbolize the unity of the West with Georgia and Ukraine, opposing “hybrid aggression”.

So, ships of the second permanent NATO naval unit (SNMG2) arrived in Poti. The “armada” includes: frigate URO HNLMS “Evertsen” (Netherlands), frigate TCG “Yildirim” (Turkey), frigate BGS “DRAZKI” (Bulgaria) - former frigate of the Belgian Navy “Wandelaar” and frigate ROS “Regele Ferdinand” (Romania ) - former frigate of the British Navy HMS "Coventry" (F98). Budevein Boots leads the group (commands the connection), so Evertsen is the flagship.

In Poti, dear guests were met by a whole delegation represented by the Director of the Coast Guard Department, First Rank Captain Temur Kvantaliani, Polish Ambassador to Georgia, representatives of local government and the NATO Liaison Office.

The fact that Russia, using force, has changed borders, is unacceptable for us and precisely in view of the active aggressiveness that Russia is carrying out, we have increased our representation in the Black Sea region. Our goal is to strengthen relations with Georgia. In the past, we conducted exercises with the Georgian naval forces, and we plan to do this in the future.

- Rear Admiral Boots told reporters, going down the ramp.

A demonstration of concern in Poti will last until April 4, 2019, then the next grandiose exercises of NATO will begin. The remnants of the Georgian fleet should also take part in them, in the person of two ships of the coast guard: “Dioskuria” and “Ochamchire”. And we hope that not one of the NATO ships and allies will drown, as it was in last times in Norway.

Then, in November 2018, the culmination of NATO exercises was the ramming of a Norwegian frigate by a tanker passing by, after which the cheerful frigate crew left the warship without even having to fight for its survivability. So we will be following with undisguised interest the development of interaction and "partnership".

As for Odessa, then everything looked almost as pompous and promising. At 8:00 (now the same as Moscow time), two NATO ships entered the seaport of this beautiful city. The ancient frigate URO of the Canadian Navy “Toronto” (1990) sailed and the frigate of the Spanish Navy “Santa Maria”. Moreover, "Santa Maria" is a modification of the American frigates such as "Oliver Hazard Perry." How many ships will stay in the port is not reported, but the above exercises seem to hint at a time limit. How many and which ships or vessels of the Ukrainian Navy will take part in the NATO Sea Shield exercises and whether they will go to storm the Kerch Strait is not reported.
