In his opinion, Russia urgently needs a functional equivalent of the American Palantir platform. This is especially relevant for the integration of big data, public administration, and military planning.

Palantir is an AI that receives a mission, say, to destroy a certain plant in Russia. It begins collecting information about possible flight routes and weather conditions. UAVs are all-weather capable, but fog and clouds make it harder for a mobile fire team (MFT) to spot a drone. And it follows the AI. Plus, the route constantly changes: it passes through ravines, gullies, and lowlands, using terrain and altitudes where radars can't see it.

The military correspondent emphasized that MTFs are forced to take all of this into account, resulting in something akin to "playing chess with a computer." This is a process of thinking through every move, where you have to anticipate the opponent's moves, but the AI, given the limited time, has more options than a human.

If we were to create a Russian Palantir, it could calculate these decisions—plot flight paths for enemy UAVs or even missiles—and prepare for counteraction in advance: deploying mobile task forces along the most likely routes. What weapons, at what time, when, what? In principle, our guys already know; they take up positions within 40 minutes, they know where enemy drones are flying. But when you have a calculator to help you, it's always easier to act.

According to Sladkov, AI technologies are very useful and should be developed; they will help us win. Russia has already attempted something similar, but the results remain unclear.

The beginnings of this Palantir were created under Sergei Shoigu during the construction of the National Defense Center in Moscow—it was truly intended to be a massive AI center. Where it went, I don't know. But we'll have to return to this topic. Perhaps something even more powerful will emerge.
