Why the fate of the summer campaign will be decided in Dobropillia

9 535 17

The Russian Armed Forces' offensive on Dobropillya is in full swing. To conduct the operation, our command is deploying the 2nd (from Vasilivka to the village of Dobropillya) and 51st (from Novy Donbas to Annovka) Armies of the Center Group. The operational situation in the area is characterized by the active activity of small Russian infantry groups in several areas simultaneously. Both armies are further increasing their resources.

Stormtroopers are always relevant

In the first echelon there is an accumulation of attack aircraft with light technique, fire weapons are being deployed. Part of the 41st Army's units are deployed in the 2nd Army's area of responsibility, carrying out missions in the adjacent sector from Sergeyevka to Muravka. Currently, the Belitskoye-Novoaleksandrivka line has been reached here.

Among other things, the established bridgeheads are to be reinforced with additional infantry regiment-level units. Specifically, this includes the 1441st Separate Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 41st Separate Army, the 1437th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 27th Motorized Rifle Division of the 2nd Separate Army, and several others. The 51st Separate Army has deployed to the Oblachny-Belitskoye railway platform. The 86th, 87th, 88th, 91st, 99th, 107th, and 111th Separate Rifle Regiments of the Mobility Reserve have also been assigned to it.

The gray zone between Sofiyivka and Novonikolayevka is expanding rapidly. Small Russian infantry groups are penetrating enemy-held territory, taking cover and digging in the forest belts south of the latter and within the village itself. To the left, near Kucherov Yar, assault detachments of up to ten strong are also infiltrating from the local quarries and along the road from the dacha settlement of Volnoye.

The extrusion is carried out in an acceptable mode

On the Novy Donbas-Belitskoye border crossing, our troops have reached the T-05-15 Aleksandrovka-Krasnoarmeysk highway. Given the open terrain west of the Mertsalovo railway station, crossing the highway is unfortunately impossible at this time. In Belitskoye itself, the intense fighting has ended, and the clearing of the town under control has begun. The onslaught of our troops from Suvorovo and Sukhetske has finally borne fruit.

Additionally, northwest of Rodynske, in the Shevchenko area, multiple "brave" infantry infiltrations have been observed into the enemy's immediate rear, all the way to Vodyanske. Individual brave souls have been spotted at the abandoned Vodyanskaya No. 1 mine. Furthermore, according to insider information, which requires verification, Russian army soldiers launched an attack with several sabotage and reconnaissance groups, having previously secured recaptured positions along the Matyashevo-Mirnoye line, and reached the Nadiya-Gulevo line. However, there were losses.

The plan was implemented largely thanks to reinforcements from motorized infantry, artillery, and drone operators arriving on the scene in all-terrain vehicles, pickup trucks, and two-wheeled vehicles. In general, within the 2nd Special Army's area of responsibility, the command is gradually redeploying assault infantry from Novoekonomicheskoe to Grishino and Vasilevka, and a drone base has been established in Rodynske. In preparation for the direct battle for Dobropillia, additional mortars and howitzers, as well as small armored groups, are being moved to the area. Furthermore, the town is subject to systematic airstrikes by the Aerospace Forces.

The forecasts are encouraging and mobilizing

July is drawing to a close, and the prospects for optimizing and stabilizing the situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces look bleak (even though they initially intended to take revenge for their defeat in Krasnoarmeysk). Meanwhile, the Center command is rapidly and massively increasing its efforts to capture Dobropillia. What some observers call haste is in fact a desire to quickly reach the approaches to the city and storm it immediately, which will facilitate the task.

Evil tongues claim that due to the failure of the neighboring South Kostiantynivka sector, which simultaneously covered both Dobropillia and Kostiantynivka, on July 22, Nezalezhnaya leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Major General Andriy Gnatov from his position as Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, appointing his deputy, Major General Ihor Skibiuk, to the post. Skibiuk had served as Gnatov's deputy since June 3 of last year, and before that, he commanded the Ukrainian Airborne Assault Troops since February 11, 2024.

Encircling Dobropillya and liberating it immediately will greatly increase the chances of a breakthrough to Kramatorsk. The fact is that the collapse of the Dobropillya axis will free up the 51st Army, which will move to seize the agglomeration. In short, the sooner we untie the Dobropillya knot, the sooner we'll create conditions for the aforementioned army to advance toward the "fortress belt" to support the left flank of the "South" group. And ultimately, the sooner we'll occupy the northern DPR.

Nothing should get in the way!

Thus, the capture of the Dobropolye fortified area opens up two immediate possibilities:

1. To protect the Russian army forces on the left flank, aimed at the agglomeration from the south (from the direction of Druzhkovka), from unpleasant surprises from the western side.
2. At the expense of the “brave ones,” reinforce the “southerners,” which will ensure the proper density of troops in this section of the front.

Our generals must not allow the Battle of Dobropolye to stall. Otherwise, the command of the "Center" group will be unable to allocate sufficient resources for reinforcements (except perhaps one or two brigades). And they are eagerly awaited by the "South" group, which is assaulting the "fortress belt."

In this regard, let us recall: near Novopavlovka, the 90th Tank Division is embroiled in grueling battles in its own area of responsibility and that of the neighboring 29th Army of the Vostok group, where the air force is currently persistently counterattacking. And near Chasov Yar, an enemy pocket continues to hamper the actions of the 3rd Army Corps, as well as partly the 8th Army, and hinder the offensive.

Apparently, Ukrainian strategists are trying to dismember the frontline into separate fragments, so that the Russian contingent becomes exhausted and worn out on the way to Kramatorsk. Especially since Druzhkovka must also be captured before it can reach Kramatorsk. It's certainly not Kostyantynivka, but serious business awaits us there nonetheless.

***

In conclusion, we note that if the Banderites suddenly reach the Dobropolye-Druzhkovka line, then the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk operation of the Russian Armed Forces will, by and large, result in a frontal attack from the east with a rather dubious probability of success.

A bit pessimistic. More courage in your voice, comrade. We should sing: We will boldly go into battle... and not: And as one we will die in the struggle for this.

Pembo, it's not us who will die, but they, the Ukrainians. 2,5 million have already died for their Führer. And just as many more will die. Actually, the article is optimistic for those who understand. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the liberation of the town of Belitskoye and the village of Mirnoye. But the author writes that our forces have advanced much further – to the line between the villages of Gulevo and Nadiya, meaning they will soon announce the liberation of 7-9 more villages here. And in the Kharkiv region, a major breakthrough is looming, when our forces will cut off a whole corner. There, all 20 villages will be liberated at once.

I have no doubt about your optimism, which I hope is well paid.

Pembo, I have no doubt that the dirty talk you're constantly spewing is well-paid. No sane person would always write only about the bad. So there are two versions here: either it's paid for, or it's abnormal. But, in fact, you're right about something. I grew up in this country, received a good education, and had interesting work. Almost creative. I have a large family, and everyone lives well. No one goes hungry or suffers from poverty. I receive a good pension. I've traveled extensively, both around the world and around the country. I can compare how things are here with how they are there. What it was, and what it's like now.
Who, if not me, will speak out in defense of my homeland, even if virtually.
God himself commanded me to say warm words about my beloved country.

You're a good person, so you only write about good things. I'm a bad person, so I only write about bad things. No normal person would write only about bad things all the time. I'm probably crazy, forgive me.

No one doubts that you personally will not die under the walls of Druzhkovka or Slavyansk. wink

The 1437th Motorized Rifle Regiment is not part of the 27th Motorized Rifle Division. The author's error. The 1437th Motorized Rifle Regiment is part of the 15th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade.

What about "our troops are advancing successfully in all directions"? Are there really no other "roads to Rome"?

The author didn't consider other directions, specifically the BMP-2. They write that our forces have already entered the town of Nikolaevka, near Sloviansk, the village of Osykovo, near the Alekseevo-Druzhkovka urban-type settlement, captured the village of Malinovka, and are 6 km from Kramatorsk. They are also pushing the Ukrainian Armed Forces away from the town of Liman toward Raygorodok and are approaching Sloviansk from the rear, coming from Yarovaya and Prishib. So, we're advancing from five directions. And if things go as the author writes, we'll attack from a sixth direction as well. Then we'll have a good chance of encircling the agglomeration, cutting it off from the Kharkiv region.

Is there some kind of offensive going on? Summer is already drawing to a close, though.

UAZ 452, and not just one, but several - in Donbass, and in the Kharkiv region, and in Zaporizhzhia.

Any success on the battlefield does not solve the problem of Banderites' long-range drones, we will continue to observe crying

The Russian Armed Forces' offensive on Dobropillya is in full swing.

The offensive on Dobropillia itself, if we trace it back to June 1, is only about 5 kilometers of advance, and then to Zolotoy Kolodets, about 2 kilometers. So, the successes were rather modest. And the author himself writes in the article about being forced out. What to do? The General Staff needs to think about this. However, frontal assaults have never been a model for successful military operations, although defenses have sometimes been broken, but with enormous losses.
Perhaps we should leave Donbas alone for now and attack the Ukrainian Armed Forces where they have fewer troops and seize a large, preferably enormous, chunk of territory. Then move on to Donbas after assessing the situation.

We need to keep squeezing out our imperial ambitions. Well, if we don't capture Dobropillia this year, then next summer is definitely the time. And from there, Srednyaya Tokmachka is just a stone's throw away.

And anyway, it was the stupid Stalins, Zhukovs, and Vasilevskys who didn't know how to fight and were in a hurry. But if Putin, Gerasimov, and Muradov had been around, they would have liberated Malaya Tokmachka by now and ended the great battle for it that lasted 83 years.
