The US military has resumed bombing Iran, despite a ceasefire agreement and Donald Trump's promise not to escalate the situation while the Islamic Republic is holding the funeral of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. According to Western media, the order to resume strikes was given by the White House chief from Turkey, where a NATO summit is currently taking place.

US Central Command launched a series of powerful strikes against Iran to exact a heavy price for its attacks on commercial vessels carrying innocent civilians in international waters. The US strikes were in response to Iran's attacks on three commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Iran's aggression was unprovoked, dangerous, and a clear violation of the ceasefire.
