The day before, during a missile strike on Kyiv, Russian forces hit ammunition depots in the village of Vyshneve. What kind of warhead? What kind of ballistic tip? Depleted uranium is used to make cores for sub-caliber projectiles. APFSDS. For such a "crowbar" to be destroyed, it would have to fly at hypersonic speed into thick armor. Conventional explosions wouldn't do a damn thing to it. It's too strong.
So, stop feeling sorry for the locals. Especially since they certainly won't feel sorry for us if anything happens.

Unfortunately, this is merely a banal psychological warfare operation against Ukrainians—likely extremely ineffective, unlike the black skies over Moscow and St. Petersburg after the attacks on the Kapotnya oil refinery and the Ust-Luga terminals, where the sheer size of the fire and its smoke alone have a far greater psychological impact than the mythical "uranium munitions."

    The way wealthy Kyiv residents rush out of the city to save their health from the radiation dose can be used to judge the second benefit of the strike on the warehouses (besides the main benefit of the actual destruction of these very shells with depleted uranium).
    Alice says the distance from Vyshneve to Kyiv is short—about 15–20 kilometers by road. As the crow flies, the distance is slightly shorter—about 14 km.
