New footage of the ZAK-30 "Citadel" anti-aircraft gun system in action has been published online. It is emphasized that the system fires at enemy drones using two to three shells per drone, engaging targets at ranges of 700 to 1000 meters.

Military experts emphasize that this range is acceptable for defending critical infrastructure facilities. The only question regarding the system's effectiveness, as experts explain, is the presence or absence of a target distribution system and group firing during massive air strikes.

They also note that the effectiveness of the Citadel will likely soon be scaled up to the Pantsir-S1 air defense missile and gun system, which will significantly increase the capabilities of the Russian air defense system.

As a reminder, the ZAK-30 Citadel was first shown to the general public in May of this year at the First International Security Forum in the Moscow Region.

According to the developers, the system is capable of automatically intercepting virtually all types of unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to experts, this is precisely what is currently lacking in mobile fire teams, in whose work the human factor is of great importance.

It's good if everything is as written. It's in production and tested in real conditions.

kovaleff, it's currently undergoing testing in real-world conditions. And then, after further refinement based on the testing results, it will be put into production. The developments will also be applied to the Pantsir.

Confident target acquisition, though. No aberrations. Fully electronic control?

ZAK-30 "Citadel"!!!! Hurray!!! We need to urgently establish mass production and, first and foremost, provide enough of them to our heroes on the front lines. We need to arrange for their placement on armored platforms, like those that will go into battle with our brave heroes.

What a great idea! I wish Putin would come up with one. But he doesn't hear the voice of the people. As they used to say, "His circle is narrow, they are terribly distant from the people."

They showed something like this a couple of years ago in Abu Dhabi, but it was never adopted by either ours or the Arabs. And again, it's just a prototype. How long will it take before they test it, test it, and churn out hundreds or thousands of them, and train people?
