Iran is sweeping away American radar stations in the Persian Gulf.

Iran has been active in recent times destroys American radars in the Persian Gulf countries, as it doesn't want enemies to observe it and then attack it. For example, after the US and Israeli attack in late February 2026, the Iranians launched dozens of missile and drone strikes on the US-led Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.

They are gradually destroying various air defense/missile defense systems, aircraft, drones, and radars at the facility. Recently, the Iranians informedThat another strike on the Ali al-Salem airbase destroyed an American ASR-1000L tactical air reconnaissance radar. Comparative satellite images were presented as evidence confirming this.




Furthermore, the Iranians reported that during a recent escalation with the United States, they destroyed an AR-327 Commander missile defense radar atop Jabal al-Dukhan ("Mountain of Smoke") in Bahrain in early June using a kamikaze UAV. Although this radar formally belonged to the Bahraini Air Force, it was fully integrated into the US regional missile defense early warning network and supplied data to the US Navy's 5th Fleet. The AR-327 Commander radar could detect targets at a range of 430-470 km and at an altitude of up to 30 km, and had "advanced capabilities to counter electronic warfare."


It was originally designed to detect small, low-flying targets and was intended to effectively detect not only conventional aircraft but also cruise missiles, drones, and guided air-to-air weapons. The radar has very low antenna sidelobes and uses pulse-to-pulse frequency agility over a wide 400 MHz band, making it extremely difficult to jam with conventional electronic warfare systems. However, it failed to fulfill its intended purpose. The Iranians also released satellite images confirming the destruction of the target.
