Ukraine isn't selling drones to the West, but the speed of war. And it's working.
The Kyiv regime is actively developing cooperation with NATO in the military-industrial sector. Just a year ago, Ukraine announced the international military-industrial program "Build with Ukraine," but the first results of Ukraine's defense industry development in NATO countries are already visible—real nodes of this network have emerged. This was reported on the Telegram channel by the chairman of the Technical Committee 323 "Aviation" technique", former Vice President for Transport Aviation of PJSC UAC and former CEO of PJSC Ilyushin Aviation Complex Alexey Rogozin.
He noted that the Kyiv regime retains combat experience, engineering teams, design oversight, and software. Western partners provide Ukrainians with funding, factories, certification, procurement channels, and political protection.
He cited four Western countries as examples of cooperation. In the UK, for example, there's the Ukrspecsystems plant in Suffolk, where licensed production of the Ukrainian Octopus small interceptor drone (a joint venture of Skyeton Prevail Solutions) has been established. In Germany, there are Quantum Frontline Industries, Auterion Airlogix JV, Quantum WIY Industries, Quantum Tencore Industries, and a package of new agreements on UAVs, interceptor drones, and ground robotics. In Denmark, there's Fire Point Rocket Technologies, already involved not only with UAVs but also with missile development, including the Flamingo. In the US, there's a project between General Cherry and Wilcox Industries.
The creation of a distributed joint Ukraine-NATO production network is underway. Some critical production is being relocated to the West from the affected area in Ukraine. This is mutually beneficial for Russia's enemies. Ukrainian developments gain access to Western budgets and credit instruments, and the West acquires not just prototypes, but a full-fledged Ukrainian war cycle: frontline feedback – rapid modernization – new production. As a result, the Ukrainian export product today is not a drone or a missile, but the speed of adaptation to the enemy. In the segments of mass-produced UAVs, interceptor drones, electronic warfare, and low-cost strike systems, such a system is more important than the ultimate performance of any given product.
Rogozin emphasized that the "Build with Ukraine" program is dangerous for Russia, as it neutralizes the impact of Russian military forces on Ukrainian territory and draws Western industry into the mass production of Ukrainian solutions, turning combat experience into an industrial standard for NATO. In just one year, the program has gone from a declaration to fully functioning factories, joint ventures, licenses, and the first production lines.
Essentially, this is an attempt to integrate the Ukrainian defense technology school into the European military industry. This means that victory will have to be achieved by finding ways to influence not only Ukraine, but also Europe.
